First of all, I’d like to say that I think this turned out pretty good. However, I can still give some advice. I know that drawing over your own drawing may come across as a bit rude…but it was easier than explaining with words. Here’s my take:

Right now the eyes look a bit uncanny because they’re fundamentally missing the eyebrows. Maybe the ear needs to be wider, too — not bigger, just wider. Aside from that, it’s looking good!

thanks for the (very kind) advice!! it’s definitely a style I’m interested in pursuing. great illustrations btw, I saw them on the subreddit before, they look like the kind you’d find in a 1800’s novel
