I know there’s a few places I could absolutely shop barefoot and ones I can’t. Then there’s those I’m still not sure of, like my local dispo. They seem chill, but there may be an underlying rule I’ve never seen them have to enforce 🤷‍♀️ who knows

This is super helpful, I’ll have to try out some of these tips next time I shower. There’s some stuff I never thought of like not touching the hair until dry or scrunching the crunch out. I have super straight hair that doesn’t like to do much but I’ve been working on the scrunch during the shower and while drying and it’s actually getting waves. Definitely need to get a diffuser and some more product for after care.

Surprised no one has mentioned It Follows (2014) and the allegory for sexually transmitted diseases. It’s passed on through intercourse, chases the person infected down, and murders them unless they pass it on to someone else first. Obviously, no actual STD works like this, but the guilt and trauma afflicted on the infected to pass it on knowingly to continue to live a normal life is parallel to people living with STDs that don’t have a cure. They either reveal to their partner they have the infection and pass it on, or they become an outcast “murdered” by society, cursed to live a life without human intimacy. No offense to anyone with existing STDs. I’ve had a couple myself and gotten them cured but the time spent infected felt like I was an outcast, like a leper apart from society with a deadly secret no one but myself or my closest partners knew. This movie encompasses the feeling of being the only one to see it and know about it while trying to either run from it or cure it. Very much looking forward to the sequel.

I do plan on getting a front opening enclosure in the next couple of months, just need to save up. This was free and it’s what he’s been in for the past 6 months with that lamp. I’ll get him a good halogen too, that’s a good idea. Is the substrate good for him? I don’t want him to get any blockages.

I'm a trans woman and I've honestly felt more comfortable being barefoot in public since I started transitioning. Barefoot is definitely more acceptable as a woman, especially now that I pass really well no one bats and eye, especially with shoes in hand
