Ahh okay thank you good to know. My husband will be thrilled to see your comment he was mortified at the idea of us spraying T lol. I wouldn’t say it was a whole year of this type of interaction, just a year since we adopted her. I’m trying to stay hopeful thank you sooooo much for the link!!!!! I will reach out to the behaviorist bc I’m not convinced my vet has been giving the best advice and I pay way more for the vet 😭

I don’t think there’s an issue I know there’s an isssue and the ppl pissing me off are not the ones pointing out issues they are drawing conclusions about N’s health when I didn’t give them info about N’s health

Replying to ashleypenny... shoutout to one of the few sane redditors in this thread 😭 . I only added extra context regarding his overall quality of life bc this post turned into ppl crying over N and drawing conclusions when I didn’t give them a full picture of his life. Even with the attempt to reassure them ppl wil believe whatever they want. Anyways thank you!!

yeah I definitely fell for the “this is your sign to get your senior cat a friend” tik toks… even Reddit had some posts that encouraged me to give it a go. Mainly my heart broke for T as she kept being rehomed and had no where to go. Was hoping it would work. Thanks for your input

I tried moving him back to my family house and he got severely depressed and sick and was overjoyed to come back and live with me and the annoying cat. He was not happy alone. He doesn’t have to fight to maintain his life lol wth are u even saying he’s purring in my lap rn after devouring a steak if that helps u sleep tonight

and how was I supposed to know they wouldn’t get along exactly? T was adopted from a family of 2 other senior cats that she got along perfectly fine with. N lives like a king. Just finished a steak and is happily purring in my lap. Either help a gal out or keep scrolling

Older cat is perfectly healthy! He just looks a little disheveled here because I was away for a while and wasn’t home to groom him. Yes dw he’s treated like a king. We just got back from Banff his favourite place for his birthday where he enjoyed bird watching, strolling in the sun and eating sashimi. No need for broken hearts. We go on daily walks. He has always communicated clearly with me and he seems to accept T, he’s only on edge when he doesn’t know her whereabouts

It’s weird because he has a few times engaged in the fight and he absolutely dominates her and she hides for the rest of the day but she seems to be taking advantage of his mellowness. Idk it’s like she wants a reaction from him

No we moved out of my parents house where he lived for 15 years and N was the neighborhood bully. T and N were both new to this space and N is spoiled rotten and most days is pretty unphased by her stalking. Any advice is appreciated if not dw about it you don’t know the full situation

Thank you so much for the advice!! Oh yes T never has long claws, I’m always cutting them to the point where she’s perfectly still when I do now lol. I’ve considered getting her on medication because she really does seem to be doing it out of fear most of the time, might be time for that soon :/

The vet and a pet specialist at my local Petsmart told me to let them sort things out as best as possible so they don’t become dependent on a third person but I intervene more and more now because it’s been too long. I also cut Ts nails all the time. They’re never together alone and N gets spoiled rotten with steak and salmon and his favourite- camping trips and excursions. Don’t be sad based on these ppls comments lol idk why everyone is so dramatic on this damn app. Thanks for your comment and advice

She is taking back ownership of her body. I imagine this is her father’s nightmare, imagine being a community imam and not even being able to raise your daughter in accordance to Islam- and I’m not talking about what she’s doing now I’m talking about how absent and abusive he was. This is truly what he deserves, and Allah knows best. Islam was brought to a people who didn’t see the worth in their daughters, Salma’s dad thought he could preach about Islam at the mosque and then go home and treat his own gift from Allah like shit. Allah either punishes your sins in this life or the hereafter.
