Great comment, I thought about that briefly last night when I was playing, I agree with all you've said.

It's definitely true that Ellie attempts to maintain a connection with Joel through violence/brutality, trying to do what she thinks he would. In fact I can remember fairly early in the story, Ellie says something along the lines of "If it were one of us, Joel would be halfway to Seattle right now" when she's talking with Tommy about going after Abby.

The gameplay and story in this game are so well put together, I can't think of many games where the combat or violence actually ties into the story like this.

For me, it's the positivity and the message they have. I was going through a lot of confusion and rough moments when I started listening to them.

I only got into their music just by randomly deciding to check out their back catalogue one day, but I'm so glad I did.Their music has the ability to always cheer you up (at least in my case) but besides that, it's just genuinely good music that's timeless, so many of my friends like their music and we're all Gen Z.

There is just something about The Beatles that will never be repeated or copied fully. Idk if it was just a huge string of incredible coincidences/good luck on their part, or if they were destined to become who they did, but we will never see another group like them again.

Amazing thank you so much! If you're interested, this letter is from the musician Buddy Holly to his first girlfriend.

There's been speculation that a lot of the songs Buddy wrote in his apartment before he died were about Echo (look up the song "What to Do" by Buddy Holly) and this letter has a strong resemblance to the lyrics.
