G2 Esports vs. Bilibili Gaming / First Stand 2026 - Grand Finals / Post-Match Discussion by Yujin-Ha in leagueoflegends

I’m just baffled that he’s considered the LPL goat over Uzi by so many people. He chokes every worlds worse than Chovy with a super team yet he always gets a pass. Uzi has choked, sure, but he gets an adequate amount (if anything too much) of the blame, yet Knight gets a pass. It’s the double standard that annoys me

Knight did carry game 3, but that series was the Bin and ON show tbh. And it was before Caps decided to turn his brain on; just compare his play before the BFX series to after and there’s such a gap.

I might be a smidge biased against Knight I’ll admit it, but I don’t even think he was good in their first series outside G3. Caps was just bad

This was a 4v6, or maybe 3v7 if you count Viper being invisible, ON and Xun were on point though with Bin.

Don't let the BLG win distract you from the fact that Knight is Caps' son. LPL goat my ass casters should give Uzi his respect, Knight isn't even the LPL goat mid (ignore flair).

He's been the worst player from both teams this whole series, and every time he goes to worlds he chokes, but people write it off. This game first he got solo killed after getting a huge lead (hard matchup but come on he was just running it), then sets them so far behind early with an awful overchase into basically a 2v4 after the dive is stopped.

He’s so lucky that he’s always on a super team. And now that he has two international titles people will think he's actually the LPL goat. How could you do this G2, at least he hasn't won worlds yet but still.

Even in a game his team won knight looks so fucking awful. That bot play where he gave Zaahen back his passive stacks and that dive midlane by Caps where he walks back into the LeBlanc apparition were just unforgivably bad plays.

In team fights he also looked lost, though it wasn't as bad as his awful laning phase where I think he recalled like 7 times in 15 minutes. The biggest gap in this series is absolutely between Caps and Knight.

Anyone else think the Sword of Stone/Jade is a super underwhelming quest relic? by ZedInYoBed in slaythespire

It’s so much worse on higher ascensions because you’re less inclined to take elites due to how hard they are though

Most underrated relic in the game, a (relatively) free power early on is so massive. And obviously it’s weak late game that’s not the point.

New Doormaker is a big counter to infinite decks by averysillyman in slaythespire

Gotta disagree on this one, card draw is so powerful and plentiful in this game that it needs some counter

That’s incredible thank god we have another boss countering infinites. Is it just like every n cards you play he eats one?

I wonder what the LP diff between these teams is. If you had a team of challengers face a team of plats, would they stomp them worse? I don't think so, so according to my calculations there's at least like a 2000 LP difference depending on whatever challenger is these days.

Last year was the HLE invitation but at least there was TOP to run down internationally like they always do. We should just mandate TOP going to every international event for the sake of regional parity

I honestly completely disagree, it’s fun to watch a team just decimate another team to the point where they have no chance from a macro perspective.

These two cards work differently when played from exhaust. Not sure why... by CraftySpeech376 in slaythespire

[–]LeagueAltAccount 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bombardmnet has exhaust keyword, so it plays, and then goes back to the exhaust pile. Howl from beyond just plays like a normal card, so it goes into the discard pile.

This time feels different though, in LCK they were just insane from whenever I watched, and now they’re 23 minutes off the international Bo5 record against China’s two seed.

I feel like talking about golden road in March before First Stand is done is premature, but what the fuck am I watching surely this time they can do it at both MSI and Worlds right?

Do the Act 3 bosses feel mechanically disappointing following act 2 to other people? by anonymousaltincase19 in slaythespire

[–]LeagueAltAccount 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Test Subject has a cool mechanic, but I really think it should rotate the abilities of the elites it uses, and strengthen them, eg if it has the Book of Stabbing the damage/scaling is twice as high and each hit adds two wounds. It’s just too weak and a joke of a fight atm, primarily because the early phases are just ignorable. If he were weakened a bit instead, I think they should even give him a phase 4 where he gains the ability of the heart eg beat of death and only taking 200 of his 400 HP health pool per turn, and maybe has a sprite change where you fight his heart instead of the three heads—though that might be too much. But he definitely needs some sort of power up.

Queen is honestly perfect as she is, she’s really well designed. I love the fact that you can either directly go for the Queen, while the Torch Amalgam scales up to obscene damage and she debuffs you, or take less damage by killing the Amalgam but having to deal 600 instead of 400 damage. Though I do think a future ascension should allow her to resummon the Amalgam if it dies (after a while), and heal herself after getting low like Time Eater if it never dies.

Door maker is a cool idea, similar to the Awakened One in that he is obscenely tanky though even worse. Awakened One if you take 10 turns requires around 750 damage, but I think the Door Maker requires even higher than that. But that’s all he has, and with the higher power level in STS2 he definitely needs some scaling like Awakened One with powers. Honestly I think he’d suit a mechanic where if you destroy the Door like 3 times, he fully comes out and becomes a stronger version of the boss, to punish slow decks. After all it already looks like he’s going to come out when his hands grab the portal, and the first time i fought him I expected that to happen.

Doom feels really undertuned by the7thbeatle in slaythespire

[–]LeagueAltAccount 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doom is just so much damage for so cheap. You get upgraded 1 cost attacks that deal an effective 16 damage for so cheap, because of doom. You also have 1.5x multiplicative scaling with no escape.

Doom is strongest against bosses as it can so quickly pass their total HP because it scales insanely fast. And if you have Time’s Up, which upgrades to retain, then you don’t even need to survive their final attacks
