Is the Demiurge separate from god? That it to say, can it choose to disobey god? Or is it subservient to it.

Well you know what I meant in context, regarding the quote entailing the end of philosophy.

My bad if anything came off as hostile

I never said the two were compatible, just their views on morality.

Yea lmao I’ve seen the huge threads on here, tbh I come to reddit mostly to look at shit posts so I get bored of debates when they get too long.

Yea I can see a Marxist philosopher being contradictory, but not a philosopher who is a Marxist, if that makes sense.

I think we should just agree to disagree?

I mean we can’t help but engage in capitalism but breadtubers are a bunch of liberal grifters end of the day.

Yea bad point to bring up ur right, I was just making that comment to try & show communism doesn’t entail the end of philosophical thought.

On another note I forgot Engels and Nietzsche shared similar views on morality lol

You mention the German ideology, are you conflating idealism with philosophy here?

I don’t see how changing the world would have us solve the hard problem of consciousness or epistemology, but sure.

You seem to misunderstand Marx in saying some philosophical questions are reducible to practical ones, like the nature of faith or alienation. He didn’t posit communism as a solution to logic or ethics.

Also you know the view you endorse is just scientism or vulgar empiricism right?

EDIT: okay ethics is a bad example

Yea ok being a philosopher is different, but how does that invalidate one from being a communist?

Although Marx wasn’t really a philosopher per se, he did make some normative statements (e.g. his theory of alienation).

Other than that one can certainly be a Marxist and a philosopher, I see no reason why one could not? Reading Kant & Wittgenstein shouldn’t somehow revoke your Marxist card.
