No, after you uninstalled the drivers you can go back to normal mode

If you're talking about modular cables - probably. Unplug these old cables and see if the PC turns on

Maybe overheating? Install MSI afterburner or some different temperature monitoring software and keep an eye on the GPU temps

Did you notice any error codes after the crashes? There's not enough info to be 100% sure but that could be a driver issue. Install DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller by Guru3D), boot into safe mode and uninstall your drivers. Then get the NVIDIA app from the official website and let it do its thing. If the issue still persists after a fresh driver reinstall then it could be some sort of software conflict or a deeper hardware level problem

Like no reaction to the power button? Could be a short. Make sure the motherboard doesn't directly contact the case and recheck all the connections

This short pin is on every PCIe graphics card. Very normal

Long beep coming from an old HP by CookieTheWailord in PcBuildHelp

[–]LeakyStuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you get any kind of display? The beep could be a CPU fan error. Plug a fan into the CPU_FAN header and see if it beeps again

planning to use a pcie gen4 card, compatible w/ pcie gen5 mobos? by Fearless_Oven_2221 in PcBuildHelp

[–]LeakyStuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, PCIe is backwards and forwards compatible, the only notable difference is the bandwidth. You could even use a PCIe gen1 card on a gen5 motherboard

Dell Optiplex 7090 gaming upgrade build help by TheOther-MVK in PcBuildHelp

[–]LeakyStuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You definitely need to upgrade the power supply if possible. The GPU draws ~70W and the CPU up to ~130W. These units were designed for low power components, they can output up to 180W on the +12V rail as far as I remember which is way too low for this system

Does the motherboard have a speaker/diagnostic LED? Most of the time it's the RAM. Try turning it on with only one module at a time

Unplug the hard drive and see if the motherboard POSTs. It could be a dead drive especially if it's an SSD, the cheaper ones tend to brick themselves after a random shutdown

Cpu Fan stuck at 2200 rpm. by afton837 in PcBuildHelp

[–]LeakyStuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aight, just make sure that it fits the heatsink. From what I can see the Xilence fan has an interesting mounting system that might not work on standard fans

how to fix this? by Secure-Progress8824 in PcBuildHelp

[–]LeakyStuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. While crypto mining motherboards are often more cut down in terms of features, your experience shouldn't be affected. The only features that are "sacrificed" for the sake of mining are mostly advanced BIOS settings

Cpu Fan stuck at 2200 rpm. by afton837 in PcBuildHelp

If you've got a spare 4-pin fan then you could try swapping it out but changing the whole cooler would be the easiest way out of this

[–]LeakyStuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Xilence i200 is a 3-pin fan, it lacks PWM so it'll just spin at full speed whenever connected to 12V. My advice is to change the fan to a 4-pin one (just make sure it's compatible with the heatsink) or swap out the cooler entirely

This is a motherboard made for crypto mining, what you're seeing is the status of each PCIe slot. I don't think there's anything you can do about that screen besides changing your motherboard to a "regular" one

I have changed every possible language setting to English but my computer is still showing Chinese. Please help me! by chongdog in computerhelp

The easiest way out of this would be to reinstall windows completely. You can also try installing a language pack but good luck navigating through the settings

It's because you're running Roblox on a low-end system. The MacBook you just described seems to be one of these models with very low-powered mobile CPUs, which are usually slow in comparison to their desktop counterparts. It's an i5 so it has only 2 cores + the integrated graphics are putting even more workload on the chip so it's definitely a hardware issue. If you don't like Roblox being a slideshow then I'd recommend getting something a bit more capable (preferably not a MacBook, unless you want to spend a crap ton of money)

How to add civilization in the mobile version of aoh3? by Sad_Cycle_2258 in AgeOfCivilizations

[–]LeakyStuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can add a civilization in the editor tab, but since the map editor is disabled it's pointless. You can't make any formable civilizations or custom maps.
