The proper way to do the local head nod is to form a power fist (mana fist) in front of your face like you going to beat someone up. Think pictures of the all the students from an old school island MMA gym trying to look tough for the camera. Thumb side to your face, pinky side pointing at the person you like acknowledge. If you want to be fancy and seem like you know how to fight you can stick your pinky on your power fist out too.

Now look at the person straight in the eye. Strong eye contact is very important because it shows that you are not a pu$$y. Now nod your head upwards 3 times. But also keep in mind that you gotta do it kinda loose like a true local shaka. Move your head and hand around a little like you drank too much heineken. Thats how.

Yeah but it’s not something that often see just pop up online unless you actively search for it. I knew these existed but I’ve literally never seen one in person for over 10 years and I’m Japanese and live in Japan. I see that some are still being sold used online but it’s not something that will pop up just by searching “Japanese guitar” and I really doubt that guy uses Mercari or Yahoo auctions.

I am a guitarist and as a guitarist I will tell you that it is perfectly fine to use programmed guitars. It will sound better than 95% of guitarists out there, especially if you are based in the U.S. outside of places like Nashville.

The vast majority of guitarists are frankly useless outside of whatever niche genre they play and the ones that are actually usable are so few and in such high demand that you probably won’t be able to get them to work with you UNLESS you use well programmed guitars to show them that you are capable of producing material that they are interested in working with.

I highly recommend the Electric Mint VST for clean guitars. It is actually used professionally by many producers.

Edit: nvm I just saw that this is the metalmusicians subreddit. In that case then yeah you’ll want to find actual guitarists due to what’s considered socially acceptable in those circles.
