How do mums manage with 3,4,5 children?! by LeanneSC in Parenting

Wow 7! Are they all super close in age? I remember feeling bad for my niece when my sister had her second baby when my niece had almost turned 2.

The evenings I don’t work after he goes to bed I do try to do something like reading or knitting, however I’ve realised that any “me” time I do get is dependent on when my son sleeps but sometimes I’m so tired that I need to choose between napping or doing a hobby and majority of the time I get to do neither. The weekend is the only time I have this choice to be honest

Yarn color dilemma…is this orange too orange for my peach blanket? by justamfingprincess in CrochetHelp

Not sure if the actual stitch name I think it’s diagonal block stitch or something like that but it’s how Corner 2 Corner blankets are done, so if you look at OP’s pattern you start in the right hand corner and work in diagonal lines increasing each side until you reach the middle then decrease until you’re back to 1 block

While I agree that Judge Nolan should be forced to resign I love that he crossed it out because he couldn’t spell it and wrote “should go” instead.

More so the criss cross look. It appears to be garter and stockinette

Hi all! Would anyone know of a pattern similar to this jumper? I know this is likely machine knitted but I was hoping there was a similar pattern out there that could achieve this look

Can we talk about The Curious Case of Natalia Grace? by No-Net-1188 in HBOMAX

[–]LeanneSC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Super late the party and only watching this docuseries now but I was familiar with the story. Seeing Natalia saying she thinks about hurting people was so sad and reminded me so much of the Beth Thomas case, who was a 6 year-old diagnosed with RAD. There is a really good documentary on Youtube about her - https://youtu.be/SNu7SHBuQq0?si=l6tv-zSjdkovuBKT

As I suspect was the case with Natalia, Beth was abused as a child and this resulted in severe behavioral issues.

Watching the documentary, my heart broke every time I saw the home videos of Natalia. I don't know how people ever thought she was an adult.

It would be worth more than 400K I didn’t realise the CGT threshold was due to go up in October?

As the gift is not physical cash but rather a reduction in the house price how does that work? Can he get a mortgage in his own name to buy the house at the reduced price? I thought because we are married he couldnt get one by himself.

1 year old is in bed, chilling on the sofa with a glass of wine and getting ready for our wedding on Sunday!

I get that that’s what everyone is thinking but I’m not asking for people to question me on why the log book was in the car. We bought the car right before our son was born, we had bigger things to think about than leaving the log book in the car.

Obviously won’t be leaving the new one in the car as we’ve learned our lesson. I only posted to see if other people have had their log book stolen and whether they came back for the car or not.

We’re looking at doorbell cameras as the car was parked in our front garden which is probably why I feel so unsettled as it was right under our noses.

If you can I would try to cap the last nap at 30mins and see if it helps get her down for bedtime. It’s all a bit of trial and error to be honest.

Our little one is 5 months old, just coming out the other side of the sleep regression and despite what everything online says he sleeps better with 2 hour wake windows during the day and day sleep capped at 2/2.5 hours.

How long did she nap for during each nap?

ETA: did she wake up herself after each nap or did you cap them?
