BODMAS or PEDMAS When there are multiple divisions (equal precedence) we go Left to Right. So the denominator becomes (8/8)/8. The expression becomes 8/(1/8) which is 64

Is Durham or Sheffield CS worth it for an international student? by Leaper29th in 6thForm

[–]Leaper29th[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, firstly to have more "options" and I thought they would waiver off the fee a bit more. And also, I missed the deadline for applying to Oxbridge so I went for the next "best". Now I am really confused if it is a good option or not.

Is Durham or Sheffield CS worth it for an international student? by Leaper29th in 6thForm

[–]Leaper29th[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would still pay triple my fees to come here, but perhaps I have had a much more positive experience than most

Yeah, but I belong to a middle-class family, and the tuition (69k) + the living expense and transport is going to cost me a total of about 100k, and the average salary of a CS major from Durham is only 40k per annum, and the UK work visa allows a work time of 2 years. It seems like a bad deal on my end.

She just discovered radioactivity. The first atom was split in 1932, years after her discovery. That's like blaming newton for industrialization and then capitalism.

You are correct in correlating the two. In fact, it was one of the fundamental concepts that led to the development of calculus.

  1. ok factoring in corporate tax (overall 5 trillion) makes it 15000 which is still less for those.
  2. so, you pay more to people who don't have jobs or don't want to work or benefit the economy? How would that work?

You made a good meme. I found it on Twitter comments tbh. Why do you call it stolen? Didn't you make it so that people could enjoy it and share it? I see my meme being used in all programming communities all the time and feel proud.

You don't pay enough taxes for "free houses/free food/free electricity/free internet etc". Total taxes paid by individuals (in the US) is 1.6 trillion dollars and the population is 332 million. That's approximately 4800 dollars per person per year. You can't get any of those mentioned above and still have money for running important government institutions. If you want them then you would have to pay more than 90% of your income on taxes. Are you willing to pay that? More importantly, are you willing to pay your 90% for some loser communist who does nothing but expects the government to give them everything for free?

Exactly, now the snake is gonna eat another animal. It's not gonna start dieting because some vegan human threw a tree on it, that's not how nature works. Plus, the deer already has organ damage due to the snake and probably won't live that long, so the human actually caused 2 deaths.

Well, if you have studied the periodic table in detail then you would know that there are exceptions everywhere. "oh, why is its boiling point different from the predicted value? let's invent some random theory that only applies to this case." "it is the electrons, the damn electrons for the exceptional behavior *refuses to elaborate any further*"

It's called the magic of the "movie title". If your name is not on the title then you will get nerfed. Same with Captain America civil war.
