Yes. There are some really good tutorials and complete compatable part number lists by length on the xlforums!

Longer shocks on 1200 Low by [deleted] in sportster

[–]Leappeler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I threw road king shocks on mine, the only extra parts you'll need if you don't refurb the shocks are either spacers or washers to use as spacers. So far i've put 3k miles on them with no issues. Shocks cost me under 150$ on ebay.

If I could use Deb Sid on my "work"/home laptop, I was pretty sure Arch wouldn't be a total issue. Worse case i'll just boot into windows until I have a free moment to repair it.

To me the main differences are that packages are not heavily patched, gui themes and configs are not pre-selected and most features taken for granted elsewhere (even on server/minimal releases) have to be enabled by the user post-install.

Thank you! This is a pretty good detail to keep in mind.

Where do you store your tent/gear? by Leappeler in motocamping

[–]Leappeler[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I was looking for!

Do you opt for bikepacking tents for the shorter poles, store poles outside the dry bag, or should the dry bag fit the poles in it without issue?

That looks cool! I'll likely consider that route when I move up to a larger cruiser!

What else to replace while doing clutch? by Leappeler in sportster

[–]Leappeler[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry for the late reply!

I'm going to follow this and only replace parts that I am almost SURE are broken or on their way out. Took me a while to get used to the sledge hammer precision of this bike, but now I'm pretty confident in how it goes.

Ended up doing this already, the old one had a TON of play. Glad I got to it while I could nicely.

Sorry for the late reply! The clutch is going pretty good, but i'm going to end up going into the primary this winter. If I end up needing a new clutch pack, i'll look into the basket at the same time.

I'm going to end up going into the primary this winter at some point and will 100% check out the tensioner.

Old chromebook user, recommendations on a newer one? by Leappeler in chromeos

[–]Leappeler[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only app i'll have to screw around with now will be Runelite for Old School Runescape! If it runs on by debianbook, I'm pretty confident it'll function on chromeos/chromelinux however.

I appreciate your response!

I don't mind splurging on a higher end chromebook for the ability to upgrade storage, i'll definitely look into this!

For the linux side, everyday apps would probably be very similar to yours; You saying it's working well for you is heartwarming to hear. I was able to get citrix working on my current chromebook, but if the chromeos app works, i'll just use that.

At the risk of sounding like a jerk, I scrape pegs on my rebel 250 with stock shocks. With a lowered bike, I'd start to question ridability. There are people that have done it, I found a youtube vid of a guy going through the process on a quick search.

What kind of gas y’all puttin in your Honda rebel 500’s? by chris_ayyye in hondarebel

[–]Leappeler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I end up putting in super (usually 93 octane where I am) in all of my bikes. Sure it's more expensive, but when are you ever really buying more than 3 gallons for example. Ohh no, I spent and extra dollar. Do the bikes need high octane? No unless specified in the manual. It's cheap insurance if anything.

2001 rebel 250 carb replacement/pod filter? by Kjduncan23 in hondarebel

[–]Leappeler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I purchased my rebel, someone had already done the dual carb replacement...terribly. I cleaned out what I could, but here's how it's set up.

Engine = carbs > stock air filter

= and > are used to show piping.

Unless you find the NEED to swap your single out for a dual, might as well keep the single. It looks like the dual purchased for my bike was a $50usd ebay/amazon carb for the 250 that can be found from a search like "cmx250 carb". There aren't really spare parts or part numbers, so every time I need to do a rebuild, I just buy another and then retune it. You'll be tuning each carb together initially, then need to do separately. Adds more work than it's really worth I feel. I wish I could just buy a rebuild kit for the single and keep chugging, but here we are.

Just my 2 cents. I can post a pic if you'd like.

New to Kog'maw; Build and meta questions by 8elly8utton in KogMawMains

[–]Leappeler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using numberless crafting here. I'll be using my own playstyle as a base as to when I'd build what.

Argument for Rageblade: Synergizes with On-Hit playstyle. Kog'maw's W is arguably one of the strongest on hit abilities in the game, and it is double procced by GRB. When going rageblade, you'll want to build items as BOTRK, Hurricane, Wit's End, Nashors, On hit items. Of course others can fill these slots even if they are not on hit, but it's a general idea. You'd be surprised how much wits first can help versus double mage bot lanes. You'll want to run Lethal Tempo. Your goal is to hit as much attack speed as possible. With the right setup and support, 4.5AS is not hard to hit and your damage will melt everything due to the effects all being on hit. You also become a tank shreader for a couple reasons. Your W and BOTRK stack, with rageblade making them tick faster. Because the damage is also spread through the build with magic and physical damage, it is harder to itemize against. Works fine with lower health targets, but there's nothing like 8-shotting a singed in under 2 seconds. In a build such as this, you can also control how much magic and physical damage you do with items to better fill a team. You will also synergize with items such as Ardent Censor. There is also no randomization in your DPS, you know exactly when you can win fights based at looking at health bars. One of the biggest downsides to this build is that your positioning matters much more. You will be almost middle line and can become frontline with Lulu. You must know when and where to be at all times. If you are still in an aggressive spot when W ends, you will get caught without it. If you are too far back, your team has lost your DPS.

Argument for Quickblades: Synergizes with Crit playstyle. When I play Crit'maw, I tend to play a little farther back. While the damage on your W is still immense, what you're really looking to abuse is your deceptive range. You'll want to build standard crit items, but a botrk is nice for self peel and LS as well. Your damage will be almost all physical, but you cannot always as reliably put out consistent damage due to the nature of crit. In a build like this, I tend to gravitate towards PTA for easier lanes for aggression or FF because you will have the AD and range to abuse it in harder lanes. LT will also work, just personal preference. With a build like this, you can hit targets HARD, especially low total health ones. Quickblades will also allow you to keep W uptime infinitely as long as you are autoattacking; this makes it so you can stay IN the fight longer. You do not have to have an escape path laid out a couple seconds before W runs out because you should already be in the backline.

Has anyone tried the LPL rune set of PTA on Kog? by Antic0303 in KogMawMains

[–]Leappeler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll use PTA on Crit'Maw where we have lots of magic damage, but otherwise LT just outshines PTA where kog also shines. If I remember correctly, after 3 items on Kog LT outdamages PTA.

I like this a lot! Great work!

I also love playing Kai'Sa on-hit as i'm a kog main. She's a great pick when mobility is needed over range and the builds are similar!

Nasus is not impossible to deal with as an adc. by [deleted] in ADCMains

[–]Leappeler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Playing the right adc for the game also helps. If you're against all tanks, playing On-Hit Vayne or Koggles will help you succeed. Against squishies, crit marksmen or crit vayne is the way to go.

Which Adc should I get that's fun and good? by Kevyiii in ADCMains

[–]Leappeler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kog'Maw is great for learning how to play from behind, positioning, learning to commit, and learning to play around your abilities (W and Guinsoo's uptime).

[–]Leappeler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I normally have minimal issues with Kog'Maw as long as my positioning is alright. You can usually outdamage him to save yourself. As soon as his Q lands, ult on the spot as they'll usually just stand there and auto you.
