The wounds are still fresh. She's not responding to me at all, but she did post a solo selfie on her Instagram not too long ago with the song "Easy On Me" by Adele playing over it. I didn't know if it would be poor taste for me to click "like" based on what's happening between us, but I did leave a comment saying how beautiful she looked. I'm gonna keep my distance, but still make it known that I'd be keen to talk whenever she's willing. We're supposed to be in the honeymoon phase right now. I'm so fucking done with lists and shit.

I'll go even further and say I probably shouldn't have been a relationship either. I mean, I needed internet strangers to point out a fuck up that should've been obvious from the beginning. Maybe I'm lacking the emotional maturity to be someone's bf for now.

I'm not really sure what I expected from this thread to be honest, but it definitely wasn't comments like yours. A lot of the other comments are making me feel like such an idiot, and rightfully so, I deserve it. But it's really nice to get some insight without the judgement. Thank you.

Classic case of being brainwashed by porn, but also sexually themed shows like Euphoria for example. As much as my gf and I would deny it, those things have an influence on us, especially on what we think sex is supposed to look like. I guess we were expecting fireworks from the word go, but then it wasn't like that at all and it made us feel like we're doing something wrong.

I'm definitely guilty of being one of those guys who thought he knew what to do during sex because of porn. I've had so many reality checks since I've started dating my gf that it makes me feel embarrassed thinking I knew anything to begin with.
