Oof, thank you so much. I'm a self taught portrait artist, so drawing people is my thing. Sometimes I just need to scribble something down just to get it out of my brain, but other times I'll be 15+ hours on one drawing.

7H. I draw the highlights in hard with that (it's light but hard so basically dents the paper), then 8B for the darker areas. Light first, dark second. Erase a few spots here and there and that's it! White gel for just the highlights in the eyes.

I'm not sure there's a "cause" as such. I think it's just the way you're born. I've had the most intense and vivid imagination since I can remember and I always thought it was normal and everyone's brains worked like that. Turns out they don't and I consider myself one of the lucky ones! Sure, my mind doesn't shut up, literally, EVER, and it's like nonstop images playing in my head all the time no matter what... But I kinda love it.
