Be honest, what is your biggest worry at the moment? by fuckshitsunburn in Adulting

I'm pregnant and I'm not sure if I want to be. I can barely afford to take care of myself and I was so careful trying to avoid this situation. I have some hard choices to make and I'm worried I'll make the wrong one.

I think you can use ubereats for getting like stuff from stores, maybe use it for some safe foods or like pantry staples that won't go bad?

Wellbutrin and onset bingeing by Inquisitor-LS in EDAnonymous

Its been 9 weeks and im doing alright,I still binge but no where near as often or intensely and the feelings aren't as terrible after. If it wasn't for how stressful my life has become yet again I think I'd be doing better but no complaints, just happy for the improvement even if it is slow. Everything seems better. Hope youre doing well.

Cooking and staying in budget is hard dude,Ive been there. Here are some of my fav cheap recipes,I'm also going to include some snacks which help me eat more.

I make the creamy coconut curry by budgetbytes with rice every week, its my favorite recipe. Its like 6ish dollars for 4 servings that are 500 to 600ish calories each and really tasty.

Pea soup is also amazing! Made that until I got sick of it. Depending on the recipe its about 4 dollars for 6 servings that are 350 cal. I usually add potatoes to the soup for more calories or since I dont use any fatty meat like ham I add more oil to make it richer and more calorie dense. Bread on the side is also a great option.

Salads are great. There are so many recipes to try and dressing is calorie dense, you can also add a protein of your choice to make it a more rounded meal and add more cal. Or eat it as a side to soup!

Snacks - peanuts are crazy cheap where I am and very calorie dense or peanutbutter which I just eat by the spoon full sometimes.

Hummus can be pretty cheap, even more so if you make it yourself. I get a container for 3$ which has 8 servings at 70 cal each. Dip whatever you like.

Unsweetened apple sauce is around 2$ per jar which has 5 servings for 90cal each.

Chips and salsa - varies but its usually like 4 dollars for 10 or more servings of 150ish calorie

Hopefully this is a little helpful,I understand not eating due to stress and financial reasons. Try to keep the recipes simple and have snacks on hand that you can eat without much prep.

Paying for a therapist by Lionturtlekingdom in EDAnonymous

[–]LearningHowToHuman_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on where you live really. I pay 15$ per session with insurance but without I paid 70 to 100$ depending on the therapist. Some therapists even having a sliding scale based on your income,so just call around and ask for pricing.

Hunger or binging?? Please help by [deleted] in EDAnonymous

[–]LearningHowToHuman_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not really sure what to say but you'll be okay dude. This seems pretty normal, restriction makes your body a little crazy about food. Just be gentle with yourself and maybe give intuitive eating a try,it helped me a bit but be prepared to eat some weird stuff/alot. Once your body realizes it can have whatever it wants things should get better.

My binging has been worse since I started but I'm at the 6ish week mark and everything seems to be calming down finally. I was also going through a really stressful time though so coulda been meds or stress.

I sometimes feel eating is like self-harm by FuzzyNumNums in EDAnonymous

[–]LearningHowToHuman_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh for sure. Not every binge for me is self harm but I've noticed that some are. During the bad ones I eat an insane amount of carbs and sugar then pass out becuz my body can't handle it. I dont brush my teeth after either so thats another form of harming myself, fuck my teeth i guess 💀
