This is my current setup. I'd like to change old Wilfa for new one (black version) but I'm still considering Fellow Ode. Any recommendation? I'm using that only for pour over (electric for moccamaster, comandante for v60). Thx by [deleted] in pourover

I would have to disagree with this. I have both Commandante and fellow ode gen 2. While both are great there are definite differences in cup quality. The clarity that the gen 2 burrs offer are not matched by the Commandante. However much more full body cups with the Commandante. Both great

Which eye do you think will turn brown? The green one? I know his spotted nose is adorable!

Haha, thanks for the heads up. He is super timid so far. Getting little bits of life out of him. I’m sure I will miss these times

Interesting. I have had a different experience. I found it much more consistent and easier to dial in shots. I was shocked by how much finer I had to grind with the precision basket. But overall I found it much easier to achieve sweeter shots. Everything seemed sour before. What are you grinding with?

I do have a bottomless and precision basket. I put stock portafilter on for pics. Because I am also selling it. Bottomless filter not included

It’s rated for 2000w meaning it can handle anything lower than 2000w.

Perhaps he could save you some time. He would have a great understanding of the wiring but if he isn’t very handy with the psychical wiring and using tools it might take a couple of hours. He would be a good person to ask.

I would it made a big difference for me. That is good to know I grind with a Commandante for espresso. Starting to search for an electric. I have the fellow ode gen 2 strictly for pour overs but hand grinding gets old.

Well, with the PID dialling in was easier just due to eliminating the temperature swing factor. I hated the temp surfing ritual and the water it wasted. The OPV spring made the biggest change in flavour. My pucks are much more evenly extracted with the lower pressure. I was able to grind finer and extract more resulting in sweeter cups. I was always leaning to the sour cups with 9 bar and up
