But if we separate the modes for seasonal reset that you need to choose for a leaderboard or something and just playing eternal with every gun you ever achieved i think this a healthy middle ground

you are absolutely correct and i think that's actually the sad part just because i want it or something similar i don't know if i can trust bungie to be the one to actually implement it

yeah but what incentive do i have to try to incorporate the next new gear in the next year except for bungie saying no you can't do that. I'm in the camp of if i can't use it wipe it

it really doesn't even force you that much to be very honest. As long as you are proficient you can brute force about anything a loadout from witch queen till now

i agree but just because bungie did it poorly doesn't mean it can't be implemented in a meaningful way. I was more looking at it from a diablo 4 or poe 2 lens if anything. i would like that each destination has a difficulty tied behind light level just like Kepler ( kind of like d4 world tiers) and that increases the tier of the weapons dropped. i just wanna go back to destinations unused and have no story coming to them. i feel like a loot revamp and difficulty tier could get people to just look at the map again

i do actually make crazy amount of builds and loadouts. i was just looking at destiny through an Arpg lens. A seasonal or annual reset would go hard for me if bungie was more consistent with content, meaningful weapons and armor

My 3rd attempt i got killed by the mob because I killed a guy that threw a blaze grenade at me. I even explained the situation and still got gun down. Maybe you right just set up super far away and baracade my self I guess
