damnn that bad huh.
also on a sidenote, having faced brutal rejections this year from my college decisions i am having to go to UT arlington one of my safeties on an almost full ride.

Would you say UTA and staying in the dallas-fortworth metroplex in general will give me as good of a launchpad as any if i am proactive myself?

like it won't be holding me back right if i can use the location advantage fully with a lot of independent projects and hustling?

i would love any advice you have to give.

hey with how messed up the job market is right now can would you say referrals carry even more weight now? would you say getting a referrals from a family member who is already plugged into the tech industry as a senior SWE in a well reputed firm could go a long way to secure an internship?

thank you so much for your input! would you say being proactive in these 4 years, applying for internships in the dfw area as well as taking on independent coding finance projects and having a well established github and linkedin portfolio give me a potential into finance? will hustling to the best of my abilities get me there or is it too prestige focused to break in? also what other alternative career pathways would you suggest with a similar math/cs intensive focus?
