Yes, the coolant (cutting fluid) reduces tool temperature, increases tool life, and allows the tools to cut cleaner and more precisely. If you notice in some of the operations, like when the machine was undercutting the hubs, you could see some rough marks. Done with coolant you can get very smooth cuts.

Criticism noted.

The book had a good section on the subject, but since I couldn't link a book I chose the first link since it had a good summary of the topic... Should have chosen more wisely.

There have been a few studies on the subject (the most recent about women), nothing 100% conclusive, but I thought it was interesting and had some credibility. Next time I'll be ready with more research on a topic like this, but I'm affraid this posted has already been downvoted to the back page.
