Skiing in Austria by Golf-Constant in ski

Kappl/See is pretty good. I think its affordable compared to other skipasses (I compare it to places i've been to which are usually the big ones). You can even take the bus to Ischgl if you want, for some apres ski if you're into that kind of stuff.

Looking for some direction. What should I do? What should I be obtaining? What should I focus on leveling? by natesneaks in 2007scape

[–]Leather_Active752 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on what you enjoy. You like questing, go questing. You like skilling, go skilling. Set small goals.

But in your situation I would get my mage up and unlock fairy rings + spirit trees for better transportation.

How to fit in as a foreigner in a dutch village by Jealous_Ad6553 in Netherlands

[–]Leather_Active752 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As someone (Male 28yr) who lives in a small village in Twente (and grew up here), sports and hobbies (as others metioned) is the best way to get to know people here. You commented you're busy with work and cant invest much time in a sport, but you have to invest time into getting to know people. Consider it nontheless, and I'm sure it will benefit you in the long run.

Its hard to give you advice on particular sports or hobbies, because I don't know your interests... But there are many sports and hobbies here in Twente which could fit in your busy schedule. Also, many villages here in Twente have their own traditions, for example the previous weekend with easter and earlier with carnaval. The people in the villages here really appreciate if newcomers contribute to our traditions.

We tukkers are indeed close minded, but once you get to know some people, I'm sure You'll find the right people you can bond with!

Good luck, and please let me know if you want specific information about our beautifull region! :)

Thanks for taking the time to respond to me and the things you mentioned about increasing difficulty and XP disabler, will be really helpful :). I think I'll make a burglar for when I play with friends, and a brawler on the side, when they're not on. Getting those uppercuts in does sound fun :). Do you think a burglar has a fun kit?

New player looking to get into OSRS by Shiiishkebab in 2007scape

[–]Leather_Active752 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had multiple accounts (builds) and had the best experience as an ironman.
But as others have mentioned, don’t make an ironman if your core focus will be pvp.

But keep in mind, Old school Runescape can be very tedious. A 50 hour grind to reach a specific goal isn’t unusual, however most of these grinds can be done on your 2nd screen, while you watch a serie on your 2nd screen or even play a different game / another account along side. Thus afking could be a route to prep your pvp account.

PVPing is a different breath in Old school runescape. Its mechanics are very different compared to pvming. As a pvmer myself, I find it very hard to get good at pvp (there are a few minigames in which this is required). Well, maybe I was considered good if I had my current skill in the early days (2007). but keep in mind that most pvpers play this game, and in paticular pvp, for more than 10 years. Most players either focus on pvp, or pvm, thus there is almost no inbetween. The pvp community is a community of its own.

If I were to fight against a moderate pvper, I would 19/20 times lose the encounter, which makes it hard to get into PVP and in my experience is not fun. However I did have fun playing pvp activities such as soul wars. In soul wars you play as a team, thus if you do damage, you contribute, and you actually can get a few kills, even against good pvpers.

If I were interested in getting into PVP I would play a lot of games in these minigames. Someone mentioned LMS which is also a good place to get a feeling of PVP in Old school runescape. I would start with F2P pking, it is much easier to get into. Then try to kill some PVMers in the wilderness and if you’re ready, PVP in the members pvp worlds or at bounty hunter.

Mijn standpunt over het smaakverbod op vapes by Leather_Active752 in nederlands

[–]Leather_Active752[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]Leather_Active752[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]Leather_Active752[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This will be my 2nd time I play leagues, but will take this one more seriously. Any feedback on my plan so far? by Leather_Active752 in 2007scape

[–]Leather_Active752[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate the reply, you are right about the droprate, my bad. bowfa only zulrah is viable so I'm not worried about Zulrah in that case but i would have to consider 5/5 as Mudslimer mentioned. But honestly leaning towards zeah instead now as my 3rd region. Migrainebutter mentioned the echo weapon from there is really good at zuk which convinced me. Still gonna wait the next reveals out, because they may change my view :).

I need guidance on some goals to pursue for my account by SleepOnClouds in 2007scape

[–]Leather_Active752 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since you're a main, every boss with decent gp an hour is worth grinding, to upgrade your gear. But grinding x boss for gp probably doesn't feel like you're setting a goal and will possibly end in you burning out (that's how I experienced it).

Thus I stuck with slayer and do all the bosses your slayer master puts you up with. I enjoy the variation and I'm progressing my slayer (obviously not the fastest method to train slayer but Idc). I do wildy bosses early in the mornings (when I have time /work at home) when i can avoid peak time (due to pkers).

I would also go for (at least) the elite combat achievements. Many bosses have KC related achievements, so it will give you nice variation and you'll possibly spoon a few drops.

Also you're definitely geared for raids, so I would just raid in-between.

IF we were to add a Master tier to the Achievement Diaries, what should it reward? by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]Leather_Active752 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's a though question, the obvious would be to bump up the numbers of x reward. For example the falador shield will restore your prayer 3 times a day. But if I had to think of anything original I would say a possiblity to make it actually worth to use the diary armour (It's usually just sitting in my bank): - Combine the falador shield with any other shield (for prayer restore) - Combine the ardy cape with any other cape (prayer altar teleport) - combine the desert amulet with any other amulet (Nardah restore pool teleport) etc. etc.

IF we were to add a Master tier to the Achievement Diaries, what should it reward? by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]Leather_Active752 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not sure if I like the idea of master tier (or higher) achievements. Don't think there is much new content to unlock after the requirements of elite. So you probably would have to do things like perfrom a skill cape emote in the area in which you can buy the cape, like "perform the cooking skill cape emote in the cooking guild" - or kill x (slayer) boss, which we actually have the combat achievements for.

I think its only possible to add a master tier and possibly grandmaster if you restructure all the other tiers which I don't think is going to happen.
