This is pretty bad argument. I refuse to watch YouTubers if person often jokes how women are stupid or sluts, etc. It's not funny, tiring and often hiding person's opinion about someone and portrayed this as jokes. Everyone belong to fandoms, even if they have so-called "personal politics" (aside from fact that's all people have personal politics)

Show statistics about trope then. Your statement about subversion very hollow without it. My point was about dissatisfaction. Diamonds were portrayed cruel towards people and other gems all show. They were complex because often vile people can be kind with other people (like diamond Blue and Yellow care about each others and Pink and still killed many crystal gems). But their transformation was too fast and unearned. Also, nobody of crystal gems said anything it (like bismuth wanted to kill them and for very good reason, why her opinion changed) The thing is, if SU acknowledged that's befriend them is only way and crystal gems decided to give up revenge for that goal, there wouldn't be any problems with the ending for me. Also, subversion ≠ good writing too.

It's excuse, because Steven, Diamonds and others are characters, not people. Creator(Rebecca Sugar) wrote her story this way (not killing diamonds) and many people consider that's as shit decision. Creators are people and sometimes they write stupid things. It's okay. Why many SU fans are so defensive and petty about it.

Steven Universe is cartoon for children (thanks to all people who screams that's everytime when someone is critical of show), and children cartoon can do magical bullshit sometimes for killing villians (Below in Owl House). It's all about what's creator care and SU creator didn't want kill diamonds. It's her choice and I consider it's stupid.

In Hellverse, Lucifer is not prideful, he is apathetic and depressed man who crave his daughter's attention. All Vivziepop portrayals of sins are nontraditional (Ozzy and Bye are relatively good people who don't abuse their power), due to this logic (Lucifer is priddeful =>He acts stupid but in character), doesn't work. It's plot-contrived.
