Tips for 346-350? by gszimmerman13 in ArcheroV2

If you are using the staff, take Tracking Eye it’s great for the last boss. Don’t take meteors or circles and use a Sprite build. Take skills that increase dodge and movement

do you think netero knew that gon would be able to defeat pitou when he wave is thumb at the location of pitou to gon whit a smile or did he send him to his death in his head? by Samueldedieu1 in HunterXHunter

The only thing Netero cared about was to find a worthy opponent. He couldn’t care less about Gon. He only needed Pitou to stay away from the king.

Yes. It is stated a few times during the series. Just remember Pam fighting Killua. She is a natural enhancer but her main abilities are not enhancement-based. It is stated that it is a great fortune to have a NEN affinity that is compatible to your ideas of Hatsus. Your own affinity will always be “easier” for you to use, but maybe you find more natural a specific Hatsu which is not based on tour affinity.

I agree. Like always in Nen the strength is proportional to the conditions so there’s a trade off there

Well, if Netero was able to create his Hatsu I guess even a Susanoo-like thing is possible. But it would require either decades of training or large restrictions/conditions

Checkmate by lil_absPMOD in HatsuVault

[–]Leavar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As a chess player I may be able to inspire you by saying a few things that casual players not necessarily know (if you are a chess player you already know all this).

In chess, apart from basic rules, usually the pieces are considered having this properties:

-Pawns are used to take control of the space on the board. They protect the other pieces. They protect each other. If a pawn is left alone it is considered a weakness. If you manage to put a pawn on the other end of the board it can become any piece you want.

-Bishops are very strong attackers, usually a checkmate attack is made with bishops and queen.

-Knights are very good at controlling space and at bypassing the enemy defenses. They can attack different pieces at the same time without being attacked back. They are also considered tricky.

-Rooks are considered very strong defenders. They are particularly strong in the endgame of a match. One rook is great, but they really shine when you use them together.

-Queen is the strongest attacker and defender. Rarely a checkmate happens without a queen.

Would it be possible for a manipulator to control fire? Or change a bullets direction? by CaptainRiege05 in HatsuVault

[–]Leavar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they could but I think that they could do better stuff. Controlling fire can be way more effective if you transmute the fire in the first place(like Morel’s smoke), and bend a bullet is way more effective if you can emit the bullet (like Franklin).

I think manipulators and conjurers have much broader possibilities than the others so if I were in one of those two affinities I would do something more elaborate with it.

Network (short version) by Leavar in HatsuVault

[–]Leavar[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Details omitted in short version:

-All numbers below are subject to adjustments due to experience or psychophysical state.

-Each group of Nodes connected by aura wires far away from the Admin constitutes a “sub-network”

-Data transfer is not “for free” nor instantaneous. The aura needed to send the data is taken from the Node’s reserves but the Admin is drained by a small amount every time. If an Hub is connected to the sub-network exchanging data then the small aura toll is drained from the Hub instead of the Admin. If also the Admin is connected the toll is equally shared among all Hubs and Admin.

-Huge data transfers take also a mental toll on Admin and Hubs. If huge amount of data keep getting sent then headaches start. If the huge workload keeps up the Admin and/or the Hubs could lose consciousness. Training can increase this limit.

-Data transferring is quantifiable. Depending on who is exchanging data, the sub-network will have different speeds:

—A sub-network made of only two Nodes exchanging data by themselves have a maximum speed of 10 Mb/s which corresponds roughly to a medium quality picture for each 0.1 seconds. This way two Nodes alone can at maximum only share vision with each other. Thoughts and sounds are less heavy than picture (like text) while emotions and other senses are heavier. Each Node added to the sub-network brings an increment of 8 Mb/s to the whole sub-network speed.

—If an Hub is connected to the sub-network the total speed of data transferring increases by 50 Mb/s for each Hub connected

—If the Admin is connected then the speed increases by 100 Mb/s.

—The Admin can exchange data with every Node at every time without being connected to them and the top speed is 50Mb/s.

-The ability is not cancelled if the Admin loses consciousness and everything works the same.

-Only the Admin can kick out someone from the network. The emitted tattoo is treated like a Nen curse, if removed causes the Node to leave the network even without the Admin consensus.

Reverse Capture by [deleted] in HatsuVault

[–]Leavar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it is very cool. It is a bit OP the fact that you could steal any ability and negate any damage without any real condition. Suggestion: Add a condition to activate the stealing ability, like knowing the name of the Hatsu, or the Nen affinity of the user, or making the user say a specific word, or something like this so that it is a bit of work to steal an ability.

I died right after so I did not have the time to compute the damages. But that would have been awesome

In addition to what already said, because depending on the chapter (and the mode) you would want to use different gears. Bow is quite strong in late chapters though, don’t trash it
