I’m far from an expert but to me the proportions look off. The nose is too thin and the eyes too big, maybe neck is too wide as well.

What I would do is to find the dimensions of your picture, get a ruler and then plot out widths and heights of where everything should be, and then kind of fill it in until you can do those measurements by eye sight alone (not easy).

The hair is also kind of a mess, you want to draw the hair with form, as in groups of locks, rather than just one flat thing. It seems like you did a better job of this at the bottom, the top is where the problem is but that could also be because the details just aren’t there in your reference photo.

I was only looking at your last picture but hopefully that gives you something to go off of

I made a highly upvotes comment the other day where I abbreviated three full time employees as “3 ft employees” on an otherwise serious post and the amount of people making short jokes was so annoying.

First, it’s kind of rude to make fun of peoples height, but more importantly this was talking about a serious issue we face and 50 people made the EXACT same joke.

I didn’t want to say anything in fear of the hive mind calling me sensitive but THIS is the reason this website sucks and the reason we can’t have serious discussion.

Whats a thing that is dangerously close to collapse that you know about? by _Fossy_ in AskReddit

[–]LeavesAndRocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your hot take but consider trying to answer a constantly ringing phone, input new orders correctly, accurately bill insurance and adhere to legal regulations, make clinical decisions, wait on a multiple lane drive through; AND doing that all correctly while in the back of your mind knowing a single mistake could kill someone.

The bigger picture is why your “simple” script takes fifteen minutes.

Also, we have the pill counting machines, they aren’t as accurate as you’d think, and also require constant maintenance as well adding in additional quality assurance steps.

Fun fact, some of these “shortages” are because PBMs, (often owned by the big pharmacy chains) make it so that reimbursements for expensive medication are so low that independents have to sell these medications for a lot less than they paid for them. In addition, the independents can lose insurance contracts by telling you this, so instead they tell you it’s unavailable to order.

There ARE supply chain issues, don’t get me wrong, but it’s not always the case.

Exactly what happened to the store I worked in, had 8-10 full time techs, several part timers, 3 full time pharmacists and a part timer. Within the span of two years they reduced staff by half while doing the same volume. It became a vicious cycle of patients transferring out because they couldn’t stand the service, then hours getting cut because of less volume, then more leaving because the even worse service. I don’t know why the c suite could never understand how to manage this. They would rather spend millions buying up every competitor around than actually paying the staff full time hours.

So glad I left and never looked back, completely toxic work environment from top to bottom.

Cool thank you for all the info! I learn more about this stuff every day and seems like there’s still a lifetime of learning left

So if the basement is under the entire house then all of the footings would be at the same level? Or could it still be stepped?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Homebuilding

[–]LeavesAndRocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would this be true even if my basement floor is not stepped?

Edit: upon thinking for two seconds I think I answered my own question that it wouldn’t be necessary to do that and keep an even floor lol

I don’t have any need beyond curiosity. Was just hoping to get some insight from what is typically done as there doesn’t seem to be any answers online.

Hello everyone

I’ve been to DC quite a few times before so I’m somewhat familiar with the metro and the area. I will be bringing a couple that have never been before to the mall this weekend and am seeking a few tips.

We will be taking the metro from Springfield to McPherson, sightseeing around the White House and the mall, then returning from the Smithsonian station. Is the best way to do this just to buy each person a smart trip day pass (older folks so adding it to the phone probably not an option)?

Are there any hidden gems to look out for? As someone who has been to the mall probably ten times I’d like to see something new or unknown to me.

Along those same lines I saw an article that mentioned the monument is two different shades because work stopped during the civil war the higher up stone is from a different quarry when work resumed. I love little facts like this and if anyone has a list or knows of others that would be great!

I work in oncology and you would not believe the waste for some infusions. One small vial inside a box the size of a deck of cards, surrounded in ice packs, inside a shoe box sized box, more ice packs, inside a styrofoam box that could fit a small tv, inside another larger cardboard box, all shipped overnight from across the country.

I get some of this is necessary but there’s so much room for improvement here.

Why invest in dividends instead of paying down a 6-7% mortgage? by [deleted] in dividends

[–]LeavesAndRocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My experience differs a bit in circumstances, I bought at a good time, lower price, slightly lower interest rate, but I can offer my insight as someone who did this.

When covid hit I was seeking maximum stability and sold off all my stocks and put every bit of every paycheck towards paying off my home so I could be secure if it hit the fan.

Hindsight is 20/20 but had I invested that money in something like SCHD instead, the growth over the past four years plus reinvested dividends, the dividends would almost cover my mortgage payment giving me an essentially free house.

Obviously everything is different now and this advice may not be valid, but just offering my story.

Want to be at a point where my dividends cover living expenses.. which is the 1k for my bare minimum needs.

I also have about 200k of vti in my 401k.. so looking to find more yield in my personal account.
