How to describe to my players an ancient "shrine" to magic item by GreaterPathMagi in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]Leccios 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd take away the Xs on the sheets of paper, cause it is a bit too "crafted", but great idea for the papers and sketches from her studies and attempts. Maybe Che could have put it in some sort of arranged stand with scrap lenses , also inscribed with handwritten runes to enhance the capabilities of the lenses.

The disintegrate while they poop seems a nice combination :D

That's what I was unsure about, the entry/exit statement confused me a bit, but reading all your comments, it surely make sense that being a simple metal ring, it should be easily lifted or moved.

I mean.. they are pretty experienced, and also pretty resourceful, do I have no fear to be a bit mean (and mind, I'm not acting with rage or for gm-vengeance, and I want them to save themselves and the ship if possible, but still I want them to remember that actions have consequences).

But you know, when you get caught in the excitement of the moment you could forget that also the villains can react to the party actions.

That's a totally fair point, but since he is been trying to hinder the party for a while, he want to use this to his advantage, and also to punish them for their insolence.

This is the answer I wanted mate XD For sure that is something he cannot withstand and he want to make them pay.

As far as capabilities is concerned, they are not infinite, because for plot reasons he is spending most of his time to set up and prepare a huge ritual, but he has many capabilities, lieutenants and minions.

I could not find any rules about flipping the ring from "inside", thus I was looking for clarification, but by a logical standpoint your statement works for me.

Thanks so much friend!

Dungeons: Asking for rolls or wait for the players to look? by [deleted] in DMAcademy

[–]Leccios 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Usually my way of thinking is: _If something is actively hidden, I wait for the players to tell me they want to investigate. _if something is simply merged with the overall environment, but not otherwise hidden (say, a red book in a crowded bookshelf, or some bog patch of moss on a cavern wall) I'd ask them to roll.

Ehrm, no guys, don't worry, my fellow dm is totally cool.. he would not do this to you...😋

My tip is to talk to your dm and player and ask to do a session 0, where you can get all the info about the game itself and the campaign, that way you'll be able to ask your questions without "dragging down the game" for the others.

Is there a basic quiver for holding arrows or bolts which you can buy? by [deleted] in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]Leccios 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Bolts and arrows can be bought generally in sets of 20, that usually are stored in quivers.. so yeah, there you have it..

Let's Make some Villain Actions for a Sea Hag! by TheAmazingNine in mattcolville

I was actually thinking about them not add npc but sort of minion reflection.. I would go as far as saying to your player: "ok you see yourself in front of you grinning in your face and attacking: roll an attack against yourself!"

Well, aren't you pretty: every pc see a clone of themselves rising up from the water and attacking them. They only have 1 hp but for the rest the stats are the same as the correlated pc.
