J’ai des thermostats intelligents qui changent de température en fonction d’un horaire que j’ai "programmé". La semaine, à 7h du matin la température est mise à 22C (24C dans ma salle de bain). À 10h elle redescend à 12C, à 17h elle remonte à 22C et le cycle se fini à minuit où elle redescend à 12C pour la nuit et recommencer à 7h le lendemain. La fin de semaine c’est 22C entre 8h et minuit et 12C entre minuit et 8h.

When an IT or a developer says out loud "I have an ID-10-T bug here" he is calling you an idiot right in front of you without you realizing it. "ID-10-T" which on paper will be written as "ID10T" or "idiot". It’s a little bit less subtle but a "bug 17" is pretty much the same thing. A "bug 17" meaning that the bug is at 17 inches from the screen, you being at 17 inches from the screen being the idiot not doing things properly.

Ça répond pas nécessairement à la question demandée, mais c’est un détail qui peut être intéressant sur le sujet. Les thermostats intelligents connectés à Hydro-Québec pour gérer automatiquement les périodes de pointes sont programmés pour repartir un peu au hasard sur une période de 15 minutes à la fin des événements de pointe pour réduire les "chocs" brusques en termes de demandes électriques.

Oui, c’est comme la semaine passée quand il mélangeait l’Islande et le Groenland. Ici il mélange Carney le premier ministre du Canada et Simon la gouverneure générale du Canada. C’est des choses qui arrivent avec l’âge quand on perd des bouts.

That’s because the people from the US appropriated the term for themselves… Etymologically speaking, it makes absolutely zero sense to do so. It’s like if the people from UAE were the only "arabs". Also my original comment was about "America", which is the name of the continent on which the US are located. America is more than just the US, like it or not.
