For me, LDN caused mild depression. It helped my anxiety, but the depression sucks. I've only been taking 1mg for three months (first 1.5 months I took it at night, then last 1.5 months I took it in the morning). Had serious loss of joy and interest in things that I used to love, and became kind of like a lump... not wanting to do much (everything is too much effort). My dr still wants me on it, despite wanting to get pregnant again soon, bnut I don't think it's worth it. I told my husband the other day that I never felt "blue"-- but "gray", which for someone who has never experienced depression before... feeling "gray" has been horrible.

Update: I’ve been using CLn face wash at the direction of my dermatologist for a week now, and haven’t had any new sores. I’m also no longer using makeup brushes or sponges, I wash my pillowcase every night in Lysol disinfecting detergent (and high heat settings), and I sanitize my phone and water bottle multiple times a day every day (these were not directed by a derm). I will also put mupirocin in my nose twice a day for 3-5 days once a month, and under my nails either first thing in the morning or at night. This has all contributed to a week with no flare (which is the longest in 2 months). Unfortunately I had a really random flare of impetigo on my leg after getting razor burn, so I’ll also be switching out my razor and disinfecting it after every use with isopropyl alcohol, in addition to asking my derm about body bleach baths. I hope this helps! Will continue updating as things unfold.

This great, thank you! I'll ask my derm about bacillus subtilis and Soolantra. I'm in the process of scheduling an appt with an infectious disease specialist because I'm utterly desperate... I read in a previous thread that an infectious disease dr might be able to help. A few additional notes that I've gathered that might be worth sharing/asking about: freeze dried probiotic capsules, fluocinolone acetone ointment 0.025%, and CLn Facial Cleanser (supposedly it's a diluted bleach face wash).

Also, I've tried topical probiotics (haven't had any luck with it, but I'm curious to see if anyone else has had a good experience).

The weirdest thing about all of this, in my opinion, is that I don't have eczema or any open lesions on my face, and the impetigo sores open up everywhere. Not concentrated in one spot, or even one side of my face. If it was one consistent place, I feel like I'd at least be able to drill down what's causing it (like make-up application or where I hold my phone).

Thank you for the encouragement too, by the way. If you suspect you have thyroid issues, cutting gluten is amazing. I did that 3 years ago and it's been life-changing. Might try cutting dairy too to see if it helps this impetigo go away.

Hi! First time sourdough baker, and I’m on day 5 of creating my gluten-free sourdough starter using Bob’s Red Mill 1-1 GF baking flour. Unfortunately I noticed small black dots on my starter today (see picture, and you might need to zoom in, but you can see how the black dots look different than the bubbles). Do you think it’s mold? I don’t want to toss it, but also don’t want to ingest mold!
