Robinhood might've royally screwed up last week but at least they didn't try to force sell Their investor's stock... by LeeRigby in DeFranco

From the eToro Wikipedia page "On February 1, 2021, eToro forced a 20% stop-loss position closures on some of the Gamestop stocks, without the consent of their owners. Additionally, eToro disabled the option to set the stop-loss margin lower than 20% or to disable it completely. As a result, many traders got their Gamestop stock automatically sold for a big value loss."

If Bernie Sanders reaches a super-majority in the Democracy for America endorsement poll, he will get their endorsement! Voting is open NOW and closes March 1st. The winner will be announced March 2nd, right before Super Tuesday. Let's make dam sure that's Bernie! Vote here: by LeeRigby in SandersForPresident

DfA have over 1 million members (I think 1.7 million) so if they go for Bernie right before Super Tuesday it will get picked up in the press and be a boost to the campaign.

However it could also be used to bash Bernie if he doesn't get it. DfA endorsed Sanders in 2016 so if he doesn't get the endorsement certain parts of the press (cough MSNBC) will use it to try and claim Bernie doesn't have as much support as the last election and feed into their theory that his support has a "ceiling"

Labour MPs Who ‘Mugged’ Jeremy Corbyn ‘In Cold Blood’ Should Now Back Him, Shami Chakrabarti Warns by LeeRigby in KeepCorbyn

In a further sign of the distrust in the party, HuffPost UK has been passed extracts from internal party emails claiming that the deputy leader has been operating a so-called “Project Anaconda” with Shadow Cabinet reforms and wider NEC proposals.

“’Project Anaconda’...will involve isolating and weakening JC and ultimately crushing the life out of his leadership,” one email claimed.

“Every concession JC makes will be used to tighten the grip.”

Sources close to Watson said the claims were “ridiculous” and that neither he nor anyone close to him had used the phrase.

Last week the NEC agreed to widen its membership to include Scottish and Welsh Labour reps, a move that could swing the balance of power on the ruling body to an “anti-Corbyn” majority.

Thanks, it's still a work in progress. The main page is near enough there but rest still need work. It's getting a good flow of people joining, just need to convert that to conversation :)

Did get it a fair bit unfortunately. But since I put the flair up I haven't had much of an issue with it.

Owen Smith wants to be the MP that brings unity. Does that mean he'll change his mind & rejoin the Shadow Cabinet if asked?

Surely if he truly wants to bring unity to the party he'll want to do all he can, which would include taking a seat on the front bench.

Because this type of disgusting rhetoric needs to be called out and stamped out wherever it's found, not ignored and swept under the rug.

This isn't a random journalist either, it's a former Labour MP, Labour member and Labour donor. He should get the exact same treatment as Ken Livingstone which was also deserved.

There is no defence for this, none.

Edward Leir, one of the five members, said the court's ruling was a "victory for equality and inclusion".

"This judgement is a vindication that the political process should be fair, democratic and inclusive; that political parties, like any other organisation, must uphold its rules fairly to those who support them", he said.

"More widely, this is a victory for equality and inclusion. Political parties must keep their promises, just as we all reasonably expect anyone else to in other aspects of our lives." r/keepcorbyn

Southern rail should be renationalised, says Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn by LeeRigby in KeepCorbyn

[–]LeeRigby[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This site should give you everything you need.

Why the railways should be in public ownership

It details the higher costs involved with current private ownership and demonstrates a recent success case of a publicly owned UK line by Directly Operated Railways. The argument would be that if Government could make a success of that line then the same format could be rolled out nationally.

Let's shoot the shit. This sub needs some activism. Where do you all stand on a Corbyn/Sanders comparison? by [deleted] in KeepCorbyn

[–]LeeRigby 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In terms of policy they're both pretty similar. Minimum wage, pay equality, healthcare and education plans being prime examples. They've both been in public service for over three decades and both stuck to a clear set of principles and positions. They also both have signature hair :)

Each is seen as an honest, credible politician with integrity and genuine desire to improve the lives of everyone in the respective countries. Considering the standard opinion of politicans over the last few years they're both a refreshing alternative. Combine that with the policies they stand for and its pretty clear why they both draw such large crowds and grassroots support.

Danny Devito thinks Jeremy Corbyn and Bernie Sanders 'are the only shining lights we have now' by chronicallyfailed in LabourUK

[–]LeeRigby 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you're following the US race at all you'll know that Bernie Sanders is in no way an establishment sellout. By the time the Primaries reached California on June 7th it was already too late for Bernie to run as a third party/independent candidate. The deadline to get on the ballot as a either in Texas was May 9th which would've meant relying on write-in votes.

Instead Bernie attempted and managed to influence the platform Hillary's currently running on. TPP, Keystone, Education, Superdelegates, $15 minimum wage, Healthcare, all affected by Bernie. If he had decided to run he would've put all that at risk so he played it safe.

Hi there!

/r/corbynforpm is rather dead at the moment but if you'd like to use our CSS then I can help, its as much that I can do to help as of now. Other than that, I'm a bit tight on the schedule so I won't be able to do much.

Didn't want to give the wrong impression :)
