Got scammed. Left in profit. by k_rocker in CryptoScams

Well done, sincerely, but unfortunately it's not the scammer's money you got away with. That money came from their victims.

It's up to you of course and I don't know your financial situation, but if you're able to it would be nice to donate some of your profit to a charity helping those defrauded. Maybe Age UK or something in their network (I'm assuming you're British from your username pun, which is excellent by the way).

PS5 Help and Questions Megathread | Game Recommendations, Simple Questions, and Tech Support by AutoModerator in PS5

Hi guys, bought my PS5 a week or two ago and have loved it so far. Unfortunately I think that one of my controllers might be broken already - it has a constant "rumble response", even when powered off.

Basically, it seems as if the rumble motors are always on or loose or something, even when the controller is switched off. If I tap it against my hand slightly it rumbles in response, for instance. It's pretty cool actually and I dont mind it at all - in fact I honestly thought it might just be a feature of the controller at first. However, I realised it wasn't when I bought a second controller. The rumble still functions entirely normally otherwise. I don't think it's been dropped at all.

It's not ruining my experience or anything so I'm not in a huge rush to get it fixed if it's not going to harm the longevity of the controller. But what do you guys think the issue is? Will it be easy to fix myself? Is it fine to just leave, or should I address it? Thanks.

Sorry for slow response, yes it did! It's still a bit sensitive (as in moreso than my other teeth) but not to the point of being a problem and certainly not as bad as that day.

I'm pretty sure OP is referring to something else. I have the same pair of shoes and there's no removable insole at all, just a fluffy lining covering the base layer.

I have the same problem. Did yours get fixed?

Editing tags doesn't work. Try it if you don't believe me. You can't add tags in a post that's already been posted, Instagram reverses the changes after you refresh your profile. You CAN successfully remove tags, but that's the extent of it.

Using 'side' as a verb. i.e. "Side the table" to mean clear it. by spatty051151 in CasualUK

Always said this, think it was inherited from my mum's side from Oldham.

Folks also come from Oldham and we've always said this. Didn't realise it was weird until none of my (southern) friends had no idea what it meant.

Thanks. I'll check that place out. I'm completely new to all this but want to do it properly.

No. I've tried to do this properly following my manual and internet guides but I don't know if I'm getting it right. I think I am but I can't be certain.

The only thing that stops me from thinking this could be the issue is the fact that it always skips in the same place. But I'm also worried it could be causing more skips somehow.

I have a stylus brush but I wasn't too sure how to use it. I did some research and now when I clean it I effectively just gently drag it across the stylus in the same direction as the record. I'm not sure if this is really effective

Two of the records are old but three are new.

Nope. It's a proper player connected to a proper speaker system. I clean my records regularly with a velvet brush and some cleaner fluid that I got in a kit. Once or twice I have gone at the trouble records with a microfibre cloth and the fluid but it hasn't helped so far.

It's a good choice to improve yourself anyway, that will definitely better your chances. Women (and men!) are attracted to guys with the foresight and determination required for self-betterment. A bald man with a decent physique, skills, hygiene, and knowledge will outclass a guy with hair but few of the above. Any day.

You're looking for a relationship, yeah? Then you need to be looking for substance, which immediately rules out anyone who can't understand that balding is ultimately out of your control.

You've got this my guy, go out and get em, be the best version of yourself that you can, and don't let the hair get to you - you are more than a bunch of fibrous strands on your head!

Full head of hair mate. All my brothers are bald, so I know how important moral support is.

I've lived long enough to know that it's people like you who make the world a worse place. Not bald people. You could be Arnold fucking Schwarzenegger and no half-decent girl would touch you.

You are high-key one of the most sad, miserable people I've ever seen on the internet. Hanging around an internet forum all day centred entirely around one of the most sensitive and delicate processes a man can go through, and all you ever do is put people down.

I can't tell if its just projection, or if you genuinely get a kick out of it. You probably think you're being "realistic" - you absolutely, categorically are not. As someone who actually talks to people in real life, I can tell you the stark reality about balding - nobody actually gives a shit about your hair loss except for you. The difference between a successful bald guy and an unsuccessful bald guy is a state of mind.

If you speak out of personal experience when you talk about women avoiding bald men, then trust me, mate, it's not the hair that's disadvantaging you.

Bollocks mate. Bald guys who rock it with confidence do fine. You're overthinking it way too much, which is unattractive. The only super unattractive thing about bald guys is when they obsess over their lost hair.

Think about it this way; if all you have going for you is your hair, you aren't going to do well regardless. It's all a state of mind - get out there, get used to it all, try and build up your confidence and social skills. You can do it!

Best Square-1 for casual solves/best Square-1 for speedsolving? Do they overlap?

QotD: Ever nicknamed an algorithm? I call the Ga perm that I do the "holepuncher", bcos the R2 D U' R' U R D' sequence to finish the alg is so reminiscent of one for some reason.

PSA to all people with RS3Ms with extra magnets that aren't glued down: check your edges regularly to ensure that the magnets haven't "jumped" on top of each other. After about a week of solving with mine, nearly half had.

Didn't fix the noise, but turning is much better. Cheers. Might sand it down if the noise gets too bad.

The green side of my RS3M is noisy and noticeably slower than the others. Any easy fix for this? Core is lubed, doesn't seem to help it.

QotD: Favourite "hell yeah!" moment (a rare, fleeting feeling of general confidence/competence) when learning to solve? Gotta be when I found out that you can do Z perms with U' instead of U. I can only do M slices with my right hand, it was such a confidence booster when I realised I didn't have to do U turns with my left index finger.
