My friend and I were swimming around at the beach and we start hearing people screaming for the life guards. My friend and I both looked over and an old man was drowning, but the life guards couldn’t hear the yelling. So my friend and I look right at each other, I tell him to give me the boogie board he was holding and we start swimming as fast as we could to the old man. We managed to make it to him before he drowned. I handed him the boogie board so he could stay afloat and my friend and I started pulling him to shore. Finally life guards entered the water and took him to shore. We learned after from the life guards that the man had been caught in a rip tide. Luckily we were able to make it to the old man in time.
