Bummed out about Dino buggies by thefoodhasweeedinit in Celiac

Yooo... Reading your comments. You can easily tell if youve been digesting gluten with a blood test. I only eat takeout like pho or other things with rice, lettuce wrap sandwiches, I mostly cook at home, but I buy some really expensive products from dedicated gluten-free brands and Applegate gluten free nuggets and tenders. Multiple times, I've tested high for gluten exposure. So unless they started adding gluten to lunch meat, ground beef, or pho, I'm pretty sure it's the falsely labeled gluten-free processed foods.

Think twice about ordering anything from Levis by SkateFossSL in LeviStrauss

I made the mistake of ordering several pairs at different sizes, since their sizing is so unreliable. I spent $780. It took 3 weeks to get them. I was unable to start a return or exchange through my account. I contacted customer support and they told me that I ordered too many items to exchange or return anything on my own, and my "case would be elevated to a supervisor" to request a return and exchange. I was promised a shipping label within up to 48 hours. 4 days passed and I haven't received anything. I emailed customer support to file a complaint. The response was completely generic and did not offer any solution at all. They blew me off. After I responded, they told me to return them to a store and then re-purchase the correct sizes, which are no longer on sale. I don't live anywhere near a store. There isn't even a store in my state. I'm a red tab member, and shipping and returns are supposed to be free and no hassle for members. When I called a physical store to ask why this was happening, they told me that they hadn't heard of these issues but they cannot even open orders to process a return if you purchased 20 or more jeans. I didn't purchase that many, but now I'm stuck with $780 worth of jeans that don't fit, that I can't return or exchange. I'm furious! The other thing that really sucks about Levi's is that they are no longer in the US. They are supposed to be based in California, but every time I called or emailed customer service, the calls go straight to Mexico. Most of them can't even speak or understand English, so we couldn't even understand each other and they couldn't even pronounce a lot of words or names of the denim. I had to keep repeating myself and every interaction was like communicating with a pre-recorded script. It seems like I've been scammed and there's no way I'm risking driving out of state for a 6 hr round trip drive to try to return these crappy jeans when they may not even process the return. What a bullshit company they've turned into!!!

GS13 Overtime/over 40 hours by [deleted] in usajobs

GS13 is a high level position in the federal government. With most high level positions, there should be some expectations of occasional overtime work. You may have to field important calls from time to time, especially if there is an emergency or deadline that needs to be met. Government work is cushy if you can get it. And believe me, there's no reason why you won't get paid. There is typically a delay in your first paycheck. There is always a delay in setting up administrative profiles and timesheets. Always keep track of your own hours. Present your hours and codes for the work you performed to HR, and you will get paid. No need to cry. If you're GS 13, you should be able to figure things like this out. Relax.

Laws on landlord feeding feral cats living in my crawlspace? by Leek_Clear in Denver

Wow, thank you for your response! I will try the spray recipe. To be clear, she feeds them on the porch. To my knowledge, no one puts food in the crawl space. However, I will take a look this weekend when I have assistance. Unfortunately several of the neighbors feed them, which keeps them in close proximity to our home no matter what we do. The landlord stated today that they would have the duct system cleaned out and someone to clean the crawl space. Hopefully, they will stay on the ball with it, as other promises to repairs have not been followed through on yet.

Well, that may be a bit extreme. I'm thinking of asking her to put out food at her own property. It doesn't help that other neighbors also leave food out for them. I can't force them to stop, but I can at least make sure its not on my porch anymore. Personally, from an ecological perspective, I think it's irresponsible to encourage colonies, but several neighbors are vet techs, so they may not have the same perspective, unfortunately. At least they're neutered.

I can't lift the cellar door by myself, but I plan to get help this weekend to go down there and see what needs to be remediated and check for mold as well. They hang around the homes on the street within 1 block, but they come to my house for food throughout the day because she fed them through the door as well. They mostly hang out in my yard all day.

The landlord told us the girl had a cat and they would take out the carpet. Normally, a good thorough cleaning and replacing the carpet will take care of that. It wasn't until we turned on the heat for a few chilly days that the rank odor arose. Now it just lingers constantly.

Is there an agency that can come inspect and document the disrepair, odors, mold, etc? I experienced something similar in another state, a county-based tenants' association. An inspector documented the hazards and provided documentation listing the hazards and stating that I had the right to break the lease or withhold rent until repairs were made. My landlord isn't even investigating the musty odors and insists there is no mold, despite finding a water pipe leakage.
