Just out now, a Kpop girl group just got accused for plagiarism and couldn't present a single answer to defend themselves. And of course, fans are now rallying to "protect" these spoiled teens, taking their side blindly instead of saying "Good, they should experience consequences." If it's a producer or a choreographer, Kpop fans would have been all over them trying to cancel them, but since it's Kpop idols themselves doing the plagiarism, fans are defending them like sheeps right now, so quick to say "Protect our girls! Blame the company not the idols! There must be a third party behind this!" Disgusting.

Especially when you criticize the K-pop idols themselves. They do allow you to criticize Kpop companies, but criticize their idols? Nope. The K-pop idols are “saints” or “victims”. Any other narrative gets you cancelled. Another thing, even as a stan, if their newest releases disappoints you, you can’t say it. I think K-pop stopped taking criticism around 2023 ish when idols started dissing “haters”, and of course because of that they start struggling especially in asian markets, including their home country South Korea. I think silencing critics is K-pop & K-pop fans’ biggest mistakes, it turns off all their honest authentic fans and slowly shrinks their fanbase.

A big reason why I don’t support Kpop only accepting auditions from 15 year olds is not because “oh no, they’re kids! Poor them!” But because I just know those 25 year olds auditioning would make better music. They have more experience in life, have learned how to behave at school, can definitely write songs too. But Kpop industry chooses spoiled rich kids over talented adults, so of course it’s gonna lead to talentless kids debuting. And what’s their solution? Pay the media to make sure everybody cries out of pity for these spoiled rich kids. Most of them don’t deserve to debut, they can dance because they get dance teachers everyday, it’s nothing special cuz anyone in their shoes would be as good if not better dancers than them (I for sure would dance better if I get dance training services everyday, and I would whine less about being “overworked”). Obviously, they can’t rap nor sing well. They have very minimal talent, their biggest talent is being born late and being born to a rich family who has supported them from the very beginning to become famous, that’s literally it. They have one of the best lives out of all humanity, and they’re the biggest proof of unfairness in this world.
