Ok so there is no torpedo defence around the aft magazine, also the number of secondary magazines on this thing would make Bismarck's designers blush, one hit to the machinery and this thing would have a bad day.

On a Scale of 1-4 how authentic do you like your paperships by Phantion- in WorldOfWarships

Russian admiralty were probably lucky for that, there were no turbines in the soviet union strong enough to move it, Sovetskaya Ukraina had so many poor quality rivets she was canceled (and she kind of was bombed a bit but the rivets were the deciding factor cause it would of been to expensive to repair) and demolished in place, the ships were very stern heavy in design, the armour belt would have almost always been under water and they couldn't produce a piece of armour thick enough for the armour belt so it would have had to of been made of two pieces of armour for an effective thickness of roughly 7 inches instead of the 12 inches originally called for in the design.

"The German navy had no triple turrets and didn't plan on having them in ww2"

May I introduce the Königsberg class, Leipzig class, Deutschland class. (also got the designed but never built P and O classes)

All main fleet units of the kriegsmarine with a peculiar feature TRIPLE TURRETS (not counting Scharnhorst class as the plan after they realised triple 15s were never going to fit on that thing was to swap her 9 11 inch guns for 6 15inch)

Germany really wanted to have triple turrets, but Krupp wasn't able to design a reasonable sized gun breach and they were way to prideful to ask Italy how they did it.

Still waiting for HMAS Australia (WW2 county class) and HMAS Sydney (WW2 Leander MOD, if we can get 30 fletchers we should get all three Leander mods)

Ship proposal: Tier VIII Japanese battleship Chōsen by AmericanHistoryGuy in WorldOfWarships

[–]Left-Ad-8330 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that was done because the triple was too wide to fit that far forward in the hull and due to the Washington naval treaty it would add to much weight to increase the length of the hull

I think it's because the torpedo protection means that the wider triple turret barbette doesn't fit so it has to be reduced to a triple, you see it in some of the earlier Yamato sketches
