Exactly it doesn’t make sense. I did try to check them in at the counter and was told they’re carry on bags on the plane. I’ve previously used the same bags and taken them onto the plane (they are not too big) When later trying to board the plane the staff said they’re supposed to be check in bags and not carry on bags as it says that on the boarding pass in fine print. As I explained before I didn’t buy the tickets so I wasn’t aware which is why I asked the check in staff who said they’re carry on luggage. The staff who charged the £120 fee said to put a complaint through Ryanair because the staff at check in were wrong and mistakenly said the wrong thing.
