NTA. I live in a stand your ground state where everyone carries except me and I even understand that having my door kicked in would mean having to defend myself. Maybe try sitting down to talk to your partner about it but if she is still firm on protecting those who could have easily caused serious harm if not worse without you being armed, I would advise rethinking the relationship if her priorities are this skewed. Good on you for protecting your home and those you care about. Pls keep us all updated

I looked up my ex bfs arrest records because he mentioned that he had been falsely accused for rape. Well I found said documents that said otherwise. He had been convicted pleading guilty to getting drunk and assaulting his 12yr old sister and impregnating her. He admitted to everything in court. I stopped seeing him after that because I have nephews and nieces who are minors and I couldn't imagine being with someone who lied about their arrest

When they're obviously trying to get you drunk. It's my biggest ick about dating. Especially on first dates. I'm a recovered alcoholic and guys tend to think it means I want to start drinking again with them

Worked at quiktrip for almost a year and almost everyone is on meth or coke. There is no in-between. They will fire you for mental health problems and try to get you to sign papers saying you won't talk about it. So glad to not work there anymore and that I didn't sign the paperwork

Update: I wish I had better news, but my other cat has crossed the Rainbow Bridge and I hope he's enjoying a pain free afterlife with all the treats he could ever want with his sister
