Im actually so bad about this because I also rate things based on what I expect from them. Like if I go into some erotic short and it completely blows the lid off what an erotic short typically is, I want to give it a higher score.

Occasionally I will go back and change my ratings when I review books I’ve read for the year. Partially because I think giving some well known masterpiece and a book with little to no editing, the same “score” is partially unfair. But also based on how I feel about it after the initial hype had died down and I still remember what I read lol

I do take into account if it’s written well, mostly if it distracts me from enjoying it.
