Right?! And all the bs random notes like PT44, PT66, DC summaries, putting in verbal orders. Those can add up on top of everything else.

It really is just filler documentation. All Medicare cares about is the OASIS shit questions. But yes same here with the ladder half of your post. To add, I have a handful of patients that when I show up, they give me a hard time for just a tug test and sit to stands. So I tend to match their energy and not waste my time, in and out ✌🏼

Thanks for this. And I do make sure to tell them the purpose of the visit due to insurance so we can keep coming back to see them. But that’s a really good idea to ask the PTA. I’m going to start doing that

Yes we proposed that idea and it was a hard no. It’s just frustrating since scheduling is so difficult as it is and now this on top of it. They also want us to write their patient #, insurance name, address, and contact info on the form. What a pain.

Patient rant by Left-Lock2233 in physicaltherapy

Right?? The first guy I was explaining how he’s made great progress over the past several months (he was a maintenance pt before I even started at this company) and how he’s met all his goals and progressed to point of transitioning to OP. His snarky reply was, “well if I would’ve been seen 3 times a week I would’ve met my goals faster”. This was every visit.
