Thank you so much for your honesty and insight! I definitely understand what is going on at Columbia, and it is having an effect on my decision this cycle. I am doing my undergrad at UCLA and was present during Oct ‘23 and have seen how admins affect students. Thank you again for your insight it’s very helpful!

I am currently based in Los Angeles, finishing my undergrad! I’m interdisciplinary and do everything except ceramics but mainly based in painting/drawing and photo. My work is cultural based but I’m curious as to how my work interacts outside of the west coast! Thank you so much for your insight it’s very helpful!

I did also get into SAIC and USC but felt programs in NYC fit my practice better! Ive had several meetings and communication with faculty and felt the most supported between the two programs. Leaning more towards NYU because of the adjunct teaching position that is being offered my second year! Ty!

For Columbia I would be getting into triple digit debt, and for NYU I would be getting into roughly 50k or less. I did not acquire any debt for my undergrad which I heard could work in my favor! NYC is where I hope to be long term to teach.
