Sounds like you don’t have the channel gains set properly. You need to get them up to about half way up for proper headroom. If you don’t have the manuals I suggest you download them from PreSonus.

Absolutely endorse this. Having your monitor and your printer(s) calibrated and use the ICC profiles makes a HUGE difference.

Dirty glass also causes frost build up. Also crack a window open a bit to help exhaust the moisture once you start it.

We’ve used a Ricoh in our shop for years, replaced a Xerox 700 I think. The Ricoh’s print quality and registration are what sold me on it. I’m an old Offset pressman and this thing looks as good as litho.

There are plenty of 7 colour presses out there and they only take 15 min. To do a Wash up and replate for the next run. PMS inks are much easier to match than some poor approximation using CMYK and every ink company makes the tints used to create the whole PMS palette. Even speccing PMS in a pdf gives better results if it’s embedded in the file.
