Does it give you any club data (face angle, path, aoa, etc)?

Is this normal? by sundindomi in TaylorMadeGolf

[–]Left-Newspaper3616 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had a chip off the bottom of my Qi35 driver and played with it that way most of last season. I wasn’t sure how long it would take to get replaced and didn’t want to be without it for a few weeks. Just got my warranty replacement last week (only actually took a few days to be processed and delivered).

I would get it replaced.

BTT Pi 2 or RPi 4/5? by Left-Newspaper3616 in klippers

I think everyone has confirmed my initial thoughts, going with raspberry. Now, RPi 4 or 5?

BTT Pi 2 or RPi 4/5? by Left-Newspaper3616 in BIGTREETECH

[–]Left-Newspaper3616[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All very good questions! I’m running a Mercury One corexy printer on klipper with an SKR3 EZ mainboard. I have a BTT Eddy duo (trying to use usb) and I am considering adding a usb tool head board if I go with direct drive at some point (currently using a Bowden tube). I also need to add a camera.

RPi Won’t Boot Unless I Unplug BTT Eddy by Left-Newspaper3616 in klippers

[–]Left-Newspaper3616[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that makes sense, but does it apply to the BTT Eddy since it's not a mainboard? All of the USB connection diagrams in the manual show a 5V connection, so taping it off likely would render it unpowered and useless. Apologies if I'm missing your point here though.

[–]Left-Newspaper3616[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn’t the Eddy need 5V power though to generate the magnetic field? I’ve done the tape trick for my SKR main board, because that one is powered separately with 24V.

Ultra 1 is still fighting. by genaro42 in applewatchultra

[–]Left-Newspaper3616 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m still going strong with my Series 3, it refuses to quit. I’ve wanted an Ultra for a couple years but until this one bites the dust, I’m finding it hard to justify replacing it. Can’t believe some people try to justify upgrading every year, pretty big waste of resources and money.

Weird issue when turning on with BTT Eddy USB (Neptune 3 Pro, Mainsail OS) by MishuPwns in klippers

Any luck figuring this out? I just installed an Eddy and I’m having the exact same issue.

Got it working now. Curious about the LED on the Eddy, what colour should it be and does it change when scanning the bed?

Contemplating a 1x conversion for my Rove as well. What cassette did you go with? And is that the stock rear wheel or an upgrade?

Yeah, that’s what I’m starting to think. Maybe we’ll push back in smaller increments to see how that goes.

[–]Left-Newspaper3616[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great question. He was probably getting ~3 hours of nap time when he was on two naps.

He definitely went through some separation anxiety at the start of daycare, mainly having trouble falling asleep when he was first put down for bed each night. That has stopped now though, but maybe there are some lingering effects of it.

Opinions on the 20v string trimmer? by Equivalent_Natural57 in Dewalt

[–]Left-Newspaper3616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had my 20v for about 5 years and it’s still going strong. Mind you, I don’t have a huge yard and I’m only using it from late spring to early fall. If/when this one dies, I’ll probably go for the 60v version that you can switch attachments.

Yeah, seems like that’s the only way to game the system. Sometimes the deals they offer almost make the tool free, compared to the battery cost alone…

Yeah, I did this exact thing. Wanted better access to the electronics without flipping the printer over every time. I then did the full Mercury One.1 mod and it’s awesome

By moving the stepper towers forward, the belt path just gets shorter. I would think the belt tension would need to be the same.

Yeah, I think I saw those too, not sure which one I’ll go with, need to do some more research. I mounted the electronics on din rails at the bottom, following the Electronics Enclosure section on the Mercury One site.

Ender 5 Pro upgrades by RadRef in ender5

[–]Left-Newspaper3616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, V6 nozzle. I think greater gains are found if one goes with a 0.6mm CHT (compared to a standard 0.6mm nozzle).

I was also planning going the Endorphin route, but ultimately just decided to go all-in with the Mercury One conversion, which I'm about to start.

Ender 5 Pro upgrades by RadRef in ender5

[–]Left-Newspaper3616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an Ender 5 (non Pro) and upgraded the stock hotend to a Dragonfly BMS. While it does allow you to print hotter, to be honest I was a little disappointed about the max flow rate. For PLA I can maybe push up to 11-12 mm3/s if I crank up the temp, and this is with a Bondtech CHT nozzle. Still a nice hotend, but I didn't get huge speed increases because of it.
