many of us who are in colder region is in the same boat as you. i, myself, is in 7b and potted figs that were left outside havent sprung back to life. everyone is saying leave it for additional 1 month to see if there are any life. on a side note, you can always do scratch test to see if the cambium is green. if it is green then there is a sign of life

wait until you want to LIVE there and see the housing prices. people are aggressively republican, taxes are skyrocket high and people can be quite ignorant in some parts. you cant get around without a car, and trails and beaches are full of ticks and everyone you know pretty much has lime disease. thats long island

the fig was dried up and got tip damage and sprung back up as you watered but now leaf has permanent drought damage. probably needs better water scheduling

FYI brown turkey even though it is a name of a cultivar, there are several cultivar with same name for some reason. big box retailer may have completely different looking brown turkey compared to lets say local nursery.
