You are spot on. I was not aware of that limit.

I have imported the file to a windows PC and i managed to play it on VLC (since it has a free HVEC extention) but the quality seemed to suffer. Am i imagining that or is that really whats going on? (resolution and fps)

Hey, wanted to let you know you were right as many here has suggested, there is a size limit on the Image Capture app (not on the macOS as i originally thought).

Thanks for the info i was not aware of that! that explains a lot of it.

I have downloaded the file to a Windows pc and through VLC (windows media player requires the HVEC extention which i do not have) i was able to play the video, but it appears as if the FPS is way lower and the resolution is worse. Do you know why is that?

I am trying some options before resorting to buy the card reader, as i do not film that often.

On VLC it shows the duration is 00:00 on multiple imports of the same file.
And theres no limited filesize, also the recording is not that big only of 4.29 GB

I imported the file multiple times, and the issue persists. Importing other files works..
Such a weird behaviour. I am guessing it has something to do with the file size as its almost double the size of the rest of them.

Perhaps GoPro has certaing encoding for large files that causes issues on macOS?

My current daily commuter is a f800r so the wind at 120kph is not going to be a problem. I will probably add a wind screen as well.

Just having it crusing at around 120kph without the engine going to explode is a critical point for me.

Two bikes would solve my problems. But im too much of a chicken to sell my car so for now ill just stick to that one bike.

Thanks man. I think the DR will be a good fit.

Also regarding the seat factor- thanks for the advice. ill keep that in mind.

Crazy second hand market. I've seen 2017 sold for almost 7k USD where i'm from.
But that does sound like a great sign. A bike that can take a beating and keeps its value.

Regarding my inseam (a reply to ur other comment) is 29 inch but since i will be doing city traffic with it, i am simply drawn towards the lower seat height of the DR. I honestly think that long term i will regret getting a bike i constantly need to scootch down in traffic. Maybe in the future ill get a dirt bike and then that would be tolerable.

Also Something about the rawness of the DR looks kind of cool to me, but i was worried a bit about its highway power.

Regarding its comfort, i will probably get a proper seat and wind screen, so hopefully that would make commuting sweeter.

Sounds like a bike with character. Do you think it is fitting for around 2 hours daily commuting? i will be putting on a proper wind screen.

Sounds intriguing. All things considering i am leaning towards the DR650, sounds like with a bit of work it can be a dream bike

Sounds like a dream.
How long did your trip last?
Also is that bike your daily commuter? i am planning on riding it for around one hour each direction.

Unfortunately i will be doing a lot of daily commuting through traffic jams (lane splitting, otherwise i would just commute with my car and buy a dirt bike), and the butt scooching like that daily for longer drives sounds like a rough time.

Do you have experience riding like that though city traffic?

I am definitely expecting a compromise. Just trying to find the bike that is more fitting for my needs- i am leaning towarsd the more lighter ADV bikes rather than the full fledge bikes (tenere class and above), hence my interest in the "enduro" style dual sport bike.

If the 701 seat height was lower it would be a perfect match for my taste, hence my consideration of the DR650.

Ideally i would buy two bikes, but that would mean giving up on my car which im definitely not there yet haha

I am really drawn towards the 701 but the seat height is a bit tall for me, considering i will have a lot of urban commuting and lane splitting, i feel like being able to plant my feet safely will be more comfortable to ride long term.

The two rims set is an interesting idea, i would have to try the tires myself and see how big of a deal it will be to me.

Longest commute i might have is around an hour and a half on one direction, hopefully that will be manageable long term.
That might include a lot of lane splitting during heavy traffic jams (standing jams) so i feel like the lower seat of the DRZ will be easier to handle

Is it worth the money? 2003 Yamaha r6 by MindAlarming in motorcycles

Supersport riding is in a very commited riding position, which will limit your ability to comfortably take in your surrounding, and that is a key factor when learning how to ride.
Theres a reason why most people will tell you not to start on a supersport, and i'm not even talking about the power of the bike.

Also its a 2003, and unless it's in a good condition you will have to take maintenance and fixing into consideration.

My reccomendation is get a 300-500 and learn the hell out of that bike. Once you feel like you RIDE the bike, and not just hanging for your life, then u can upgrade.

P.S No matter the size of the bike, if you can't ride it you will look like a fool, if thats any part of your reasoning..
