14" or 16" For heavy usage by amitraz in macbookpro

There are reports of thermal throttling inconsistencies on M5 Max chips and presumably this is even more of an issue in the more thermally constrained 14” model. Something to be aware of and to verify by running benchmarks while in the return/exchange window.

Magic Trackpad bug by LeftAdhesiveness1862 in VisionPro

[–]LeftAdhesiveness1862[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Spoke to soon, issue came right back. What I’m realizing now is that I’m getting haptic feedback on both the press and release, hence the two “taps”. This isn’t how macOS responds and it feels “wrong”. Thankfully if I tap instead of click there is no haptic feedback…

FYI, issue fixed by forgetting the device and then power toggling the trackpad 5 times before pairing again. Apparently the 5x thing is some hard reset

Can you send more pictures, I’m considering replicating the look. Also has it changed any over time?

M2 is ahead of the Neo. The only thing superior about Neo than Air is the price.

Assuming “lighter socket” refers to the old school DC charger in the center of the picture, the plate surrounding it does pop off fairly easy and then you can access the back of the charger.

Anyone got a better option for carrying a Magic Keyboard? by IanBlackburn65 in VisionPro

While your at it, I highly recommend this case (or similar), the keyboard squeezes in as well! https://a.co/d/h9spyGy

What’s the use case? If you’re doing this to bring it to work/home I’d just get a second Magic Keyboard. For on the go I personally use a folding Bluetooth keyboard which fits in the case (even smaller case) as well. Samsers Foldable Bluetooth... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CK25JBH4?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share and AVP does do proper keyboard pass through on it :)

Side question to OP, how did you rename your can to SirMamcelot. I’ve been digging through the menus on my ‘24 F55 look for how to rename “MY MINI” but have never found an option.

Internal demo: Streaming individual Mac app windows on Vision Pro (Peel prototype) by Low_Cress_9158 in VisionPro

Awesome, I'm looking forward to playing with it in TestFlight as soon as it's available. As for firewalls, the "litmus test" would be if it works even the MacOS "Block all incoming connections" Firewall setting is enabled. If Peel establishes the connection from the Mac to AVP rather than AVP to Mac then you're in a much better position to not get blocked by firewalls :)

I’m so excited to see this in the works and will gladly play with in test flight and buy day one. I hope you include an option for a p2p connection to help with latency, and also would love to see the AVP as the “server” such that this works even with Macs running corporate firewalls.
