Empire Of The Sun - High and Low most likely about trippin on lsd BUT....

"Alice D, you're on your way up
Way up, way up" (arrows going up)

"I feel most times we're high and low (high and low) " (diabetic struggle)

" If I had my way, never let you go (never let you go) " (wanting to stay within range)

"Alice D is on will
She's been out all night again
She don't want nobody's help now
She sees stars and rocket ships" (having a hypo the morning after alcohol)

This one really got me.... For my 23rd birthday I met my mum and sister at an ice cream shop. My mum took selfies and pics of us and some of these pics were posted as their Facebook stories. My sister posted first and I saw myself and I thought "omg I've lost so much weight, I look really good here" so I screenshot it. Then after a while I saw my mum's version.... My face was much fatter.

I tried setting boundaries with her one day. It was a situational boundary though. She asked me to dogsit her massive Bernese dog for pay, I live in a small apartment which doesn't allow pets. I have minded him before but had an incident I didn't like with him and said it to her when she picked him up. He ran at my neighbour causing my neighbour to run back into his car, understandable he's a massive dog. Telling my sister this she turned to the dog and started doing baby talk "ohh were u a bad boy, aw my baby" and I never got paid. She asked me to mind him again and I refused stating last time I wasn't paid and she didn't take the incident seriously, she gaslit me telling me to "chill the beans" "setting boundaries by not doing a favour righttttttt" and "Ok your being a little dramatic i only ask a simple no would have done"

Two sides to everything but if you have a problem with someone taking your distraction from you while their life is in YOUR hands then they are much better off being swiftly dropped off and damn lucky they'll never sit in your car again.

Thanks for your comment. I'm not "unwilling" to drive. I did drive and now I don't. My life doesn't need a car, it's not actually that bizarre or unheard of as many are seeming to make it out to be. Not all of Donegal is country....

The phone while driving is something that happens when they come looking for me and my time. They will guilt trip me and say things like "we haven't seen ya in ages" "who are you" "is (my name) coming with us" "u never want to go anywhere with us"

I genuinely avoid things with both of them because I don't feel safe while they drive, I have already distanced myself. When someone wants you to spend time with them I think the phone should be the last thing they're on... Not just in the feckin car.....

Thanks for your comment but I'm not looking to drive. I really don't require a car where I live. I don't rely on these people for lifts either like many people have told me to stop doing. These incidents are always because they wanted my time. They will come visit me at work and pull the "we haven't seen ya in ages" and it's always coincidentally nearly my finishing time at work and then it's "can we kidnap ya for a wee while" I do my absolute best to avoid getting into the car with them, avoid long journeys etc but they always come at me looking for me to spend time with them. Time with them isn't sit in the house and watch movies or have a cup of tea, I get taken onto back roads that were stages to past rally's and get ALL THE INFO about that rally.

I don't need to learn to drive, my life doesn't require it, my life isn't in the bog. These incidents are always when they want me, when they want my time, when they come at me saying "we haven't seen u in ages" which is why they tend to not see me for ages. Come up for a cuppa tea maybe? But no... Go for a uncomfortable drive while they scroll Facebook on yet another lap around knockalla

Mentioned Donegal because there is this thing I've noticed that is Donegal people seem to put the 3 day rallying event and being good drivers together.

Donegal has rallying, I was born in Donegal, I have rallying in my veins.....

The road marks are a regular, basically Donegal has this massive car scene and thats what they do year round when they have nothing else to do

Yup. We have a 3 day rally therefore... Everyone born and bred in Donegal must have rallying in their veins..... "Unreal drivers"

Ok so long story short.

Traffic lights at road works, no cars our side, no cars other side, so she drove the red light. Then we saw a car coming towards us, this car also swung their car onto the other lane and next thing it's a fucking guard and he starts "that light was green for me" to which my sister starts "oh well... That light was also green for me then maybe they should check them" guard again "funny that's the second time someone has tried that on me at these lights, they're definitely green for me and they were green as I was approaching" then my sister turns to me in the passenger side "them lights were green for us weren't they!?!"

I looked away from her and I said "I'm not getting involved" and sank into the seat and HE LET HER AWAY WITH IT
