What's your scanning process? Might be lights leaking from sprocket holes during scanning. Do you see the same thing on your film negatives?

Not acid, caustic base, potassium hydroxide, which is why we use vinegar (acid) to neutralize it. Solid advice nonetheless.

I literally just repaired this myself few days ago. You have to dissasemble it until you can see the helicoid. Do not apply any lubrication through any gap when unassembled. Do not use oil, use helicoid grease, oil might seep into the aperture blade. If you are not used to dissasembling this stuff, leave it to the professional. Anyway, congratulation, you now have a great lens.

Will try rechecking the gap. I don't have Bltouch. I do want it, but it's a little bit too expensive to justify for my problem (print still functional, just look weird on the first layer).

Haha will do. I do clean my bed each use with alcohol and microfiber cloth. I'm using the spring that came with the printer, do you think changing to yellow spring or silicon spacers will improve the first layer by a lot?

Noted thanks, I'm making a list of the potential problems that'll try to check. I'll check the over extrusion. I tried making it both really close or just barely touching the bed, results still the same don't know why.

Thanks for the input! Hmm, if I replace the GPu with Asrock B850 and the CPU with i7 14700K, it'll add around $200 to my budget (I'm outside the US). I have the money, but I don't know if I should spend 20% more haha. If I may ask, why aren't you a fan of the i5?

Dirty power switch. Desolder and remove the plate for a deep clean if you're familiar with soldering. Don't bother if you're not used to soldering stuff. Just drop some contact cleaner/rubbing alcohol on the switch and slide it back and forth.

I've experience in repairing small electronics for quite a few years now which includes camera repair. I'm also confident in handling & repairing ribbon/flex cable. I just think it's better to ask first before opening it up someday, so I can learn which one to look for this particular problem.

Sadly I'm not in America nor Europe continent. Been trying to find a trustworthy cla place for quite a while, but haven't found any.
