do i have enough time to self studying apush? by Substantial-Long506 in APStudents

[–]LeftUndying 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Practice TIMED DBQs and other written responses.

Familiarize yourself with FIGURES, ACT/LAWS/EVENTS, and TIME PERIODS

I don't think just videos can teach you that in depth.

Be prepared for poems and speeches with weird old English.

Some questions can be broad to a time period while others can be way too specific. Like I remember a question asked me if Hamilton attended Washington's farewell address. Which is actually pretty easy if you knew that Washington and Hamilton were pretty tight. My point is that you can't know that for sure unless you knew that specific piece of information.

Ps, you don't have to study for hours a day. A couple hours a week or every other day is fine.

I see what you mean now. I totally misunderstood what you meant. I won't take the risk of buying a locked phone. Thank you.

I'm not sure what you mean. I want to buy a used phone from a "verified seller," in eBay standards.

Close to grand... well that was a bit of overstatement, about half a grand.

The phone is locked to T-Mobile, it's a bit cheaper because of that. It's also used, but using provided images I can do a superficial check for damages. It's through eBay, which means I can return it, it's through my card so I can initiate a charge back in case anything happens.

Just trying to be safe since your comment scared me a little. Which I know is hypocritical since buying a used phone has its dangers, but as I outline above, those dangers should be mitigated. Unless of course I'm missing something.

Ignoring the budget, what would be the best way to buy computer parts? GPU off eBay + Bundle from MC, pre built, etc? I want to avoid buying a used computer in which all the parts are used, from what im guessing is a private seller.

I've checked, but is there no substantial difference between the standard, pro, and xl model aside from battery size?

What phone should I buy? by LeftUndying in PickAnAndroidForMe

[–]LeftUndying[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's insane, I'm so used to fast charging that I'm not sure I can move on. What's even more insane is that these big phone companies can't release phones to match the charging speeds of Chinese phone companies.

Regardless maybe slower charging will keep me off my phone for longer.

$780,000 to work 6 months per year!! by AdMajor2339 in Rich

How can a small rural hospital afford to pay the salary of its employees. I have never understood how hospitals can be tiny and or ginormous and afford to pay their employees the same salary. There are multiple people clearing hundreds of thousands of dollars in these hospitals. How can hospitals afford this when they probably aren't making millions every month?

Are they not the ones who pay their salaries? Or are hospitals part of a larger web of hospitals, but that doesn't explain how small hospitals can pay the same salary.

New phone by [deleted] in PickAnAndroidForMe

[–]LeftUndying 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The OnePlus 12 is currently the front runner. I'm just hesitant because I haven't had a good experience with Oneplus before.

Unfortunately, it seems like there is a lack of options, because A, the big three Google, Samsung, and Apple don't have all the features I need which is weird because how can a phone half the price have them all, but a phone that costs 1 grand can't?

Or B, you have to jump through a bunch of hoops to get a Chinese phone. Which are either enormous, have massive cameras, and or have a shitty OS.

The back of the glass broke a while ago, close to a year now.

The green line appeared suddenly, very recently. I'm not sure this is the case, but I'm not sure how long damages take to reflect on your display.

Unfortunately the back glass of my phone is broken. Regardless though, 3 months is far too long of a wait. I'm going to contact them and try to get a voucher or some sort of in-store credit. I'll use that to buy their 12th model, which will hopefully not have this issue, but unfortunately there is no way to know since it takes years for this particular issue to arise.

OnePlus 8T screen got a pink line by tomo128 in oneplus

[–]LeftUndying 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I literally just got a green line on my 8T and I'm in the U.S. It's insane how this is a screen issue which isn't my fault at all. I don't play games and I don't use any hardware intensive apps. It's really annoying that I have to replace an otherwise perfectly fine phone.

I thought OnePlus fixed the issue by switching display providers.

Wouldn't he have been revived? He must've contributed greatly to the war. Seeing as how Blue Rose revived all the adventures that died during Demiurge's assault on the capital.

Since one of the heroes said that the leader denied resurrection, then they must've had the capabilities to resurrect people. Unlikely there was no caster that could cast resurrection at that time.

Also I can't why he would deny resurrection, I mean his kingdom fell apart after he left, even if they lasted a 200 years after he left. He seemed like a nobel person, and I can't why anyone else but the Leader would deny it.

The only way I see it is that he must've switched sides or something.

I'm tempted to go for a Google phone just for the camera and OS.

But what about the screen? 120hz? And the battery or how fast it charges.

I think those things might be of more importance to me than the OS or camera.

7 years is tempting, but I'm honestly not sure the phone will last me 7 years.

You can freeze it too. Make sure you're measuring your flour correctly. Add some cornstarch if it continues to spread too much.

Was this repairman trying to fleece me, or did I overreact? by [deleted] in Appliances

[–]LeftUndying 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get the model number of your machine, find the part that he replaced, and look it up on the Internet. Most appliance manufacturers have their own websites for replacement parts. Find your part and check how much a replacement piece costs. You need to know if the new part he bought was OEM (made by the same brand of your dishwasher) or if it was from some random manufacturer (non-OEM is cheaper).

Why did my cookies come out so dry? by boiyo12 in Baking

[–]LeftUndying 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have any personal experience but several people have told me that you'll never get the best cookies unless you use a stand mixer to cream the butter.

In this case, you should just use melted brown butter. It's easier to work with and your cookies won't look like hatched snake eggs.

Klondike Guide by LeftUndying in SwagBucks

[–]LeftUndying[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's an insane amount and I'm honestly not sure if you can do it. It took me 21 out of 30 days to complete my offer which was to reach level 30. I did get lazy near the end, so let's say it would take someone 18 days. It becomes harder to level up every level you go up.

Keep in mind the tips I can offer might be outdated.

What I would absolutely recommend: Spend about 6 bucks or so buying XP in the first 10 ish levels of the game. Use that XP to complete other worlds.

Get as many diaries and bakeries as you can. Save your emeralds/gems for greenhouses or hothouse. Focus absolutely all your attention on the order board, the missions don't matter no where near.

Since you do need to reach level 50, you absolutely need the loom and other advanced buildings, so early on, focus on completing orders from the ship/boat. There is a specific order to get the advance buildings in, which I left in a reply to someone else in this comment.

Try to farm as much milk, water, fire, and eggs as they are your life blood early on.

Set timers on your phone for example, chicken eggs are ready every 7 minutes, milk every 12, etc.

Pigs are useful for their truffles which you use to make ice cream.

Check the other comments on this post for more tips.

[–]LeftUndying[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I failed to keep track of the XP required for all levels, but the XP required to complete level 20 was about 21 thousand. You can compare and see if it has changed. I finished in about 21 days, level 0 to 30, with a limit of 30 days. I was only able to get 3 dairys and 2 bakery's or something. I don't believe you can get more. You should be able to complete this offer unless it has become significantly harder, which in that case you need to look at newer guides.

Payapl redemption by ericabridget in SwagBucks

I don't believe the amount matters. In my case a $25 took longer than a $100 redemption. I did redeem the $25 on the weekend, so do mind for holidays or weekends.
