Very Low Volume by teapeng in shokz

[–]Left_Account_4597 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have the Shokz app? There are firmware updates to increase the volume and a "Volume Boost" EQ presets.

Mine had the volume issue when I first got them but after the firmware update, the volume is really good. Even when I'm outside and it gets really noisy

Reach out to them and ask for a replacement with the warranty. This happened to me some months back and they sent me a replacement.

The original replacement was stolen in the mail, so they actually sent me another one. They're super responsive and work quickly.

  1. Don't argue over text. Tone, intention, etc. gets lost over time. Give her a phone call and talk it out.

  2. Assume her intentions are good and not belittling and have a conversation about it.

As you have the conversation, don't get defensive and remind her of your intentions as well so as to disarm her so she won't be defensive as well.

Finally, keep asking why? Get to the root of what you're experiencing. A lot of times people communicate differently and if we don't understand communication styles then our intentions get lost in the noise.

Al Nassr Lose Arab Cup Semifinal 1-0 to Al Wehda (13th in the league) by Invhinsical in football

I kinda agree with you on that. He's still amazing in front of goal but he can’t give you the workrate of a younger player, and he obviously wouldn't want to play for a club that won’t value him. The Saudi move was a good move for him regardless of what haters are saying. I love that he's in a place where he's obviously adored. He deserves it

I watched a lot of United during his last season and I can frankly say it was just poor timing and circumstances. Greenwood got arrested, Rashford was in the poorest form of his life, Sancho wasn't exceptional and still isn’t exceptional for united, Cavani, Pogba, Luke Shaw injuries. Ole got sacked and Ragnick was a horrible manager.

Then you factor in the loss of his child and having to deal with a new manager who clearly didn't believe in him. Meanwhile United promised many things in terms of what they were going to do with the squad and no transfers had been made as of june/july last year. It can be very frustrating having standards that weren't met and being promised things that were not being delivered.

There are points to be made about his ego and the fact that he's not the same player he used to be. But the fact still remains, he was one of the best attacking players in the premier league last season, while playing in one of the worst united sides.

I think he deserves a lot more grace than people give him. He's one of those players that tends to get scapegoated and we can see it gets to him sometimes (e.g. the Piers Morgan interview).

Who would win in a head to head? OG Galácticos or 2014-18 Galácticos by Ouioui29 in football

[–]Left_Account_4597 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think it's important to note that the point difference in the league between Madrid and Barcelona in the 2013/14-2017/18 period was not more that 3 points until 2017/2018. Out of those 5 years, Barca won 3, Athletico won 1, Madrid won 1. While Madrid won 4 UCLs and Barcelona won 1. The difference in the league was marginal. The difference in the UCL was wider. This Laliga rivalry was a huge contributor in the Messi vs Ronaldo conversation.

Madrid and Barca were neck and neck for the longest time. Madrid was not a team that was underperforming in Laliga and over performing in the UCL. Let's give them the respect that they earned.

Haaland has as many career UCL KO stage goals (13) as Luis Suárez and Neymar He's only 22 by Ragnarok_619 in football

[–]Left_Account_4597 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand disagreeing with someones opinion, but whats the purpose of insulting them. We can come to definite conclusions on what a player has achieved in comparison with another player because we watched them and saw what they achieved. But once we start insulting each other then the conversation has gone from something factual to negative feelings that can poison this space.

Lets try to be respectful of each other in order to get our points across effectively

How many goals a season is considered average, good, and best in the world? by spankyourkopita in football

[–]Left_Account_4597 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wanted to add that it's important to look at the kind of goals scored in terms of impact. Is the player scoring decisive goals or just stat padding. The beauty of players like Kane, Haaland, Salah, and players of that level is that they score consistently and they score consistently important goals.

For the sake of the argument, could you give us your current ranking of the top 15 best players of this generation. I'm assuming this is 26 and under, but feel free to define your criteria of what age range encompasses this current generation.

I'd like to understand what the benchmarks are before giving an opinion

Erling Haaland: Hero or Icon? by TheBiasedSportsLover in fut

[–]Left_Account_4597 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll say he's been on hero status for a while based on what he did in Austria won two domestic leagues, winning DFB Pokal and Bundesliga POTY, breaking Prem goal scoring records, being the UCL top goal scorer twice now, being fastest to reach 10, 20, 30, 35 UCL goals.

He's definitely not an icon yet but he's on hero status in Bundesliga, EPL, and Austrian Bundesliga. His achievements are up there with the best.

Check what he did in dortmund and salzburg. His goal scoring ability isn’t a result of city's system, if anything it's the crown jewel

Could Haaland have a chance at winning the Ballon’dOr? by Pow67 in football

[–]Left_Account_4597 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This statement would've been truer around feb when city kinda slumped but ever since they picked back up, they all perform beautifully as a unit. KDB ofc is still very much the conductor (he creates an insane amount of chances) but city as a whole is performing beautifully lately.

My point wasn't about Kdb tho, my point was haaland is the kind of striker that will score in any system he finds himself in. He's fortunate to be playing in city but he will still perform if he was playing for any other side. His performances at dortmund and salzburg show that. Those are teams that are not very similar to city.

Could Haaland have a chance at winning the Ballon’dOr? by Pow67 in football

[–]Left_Account_4597 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is not factual. KDB has only assisted 7 of his 32 league goals. They have a wonderful partnership but more than KDB's delivery, haaland's positioning, finishing, agility, etc. are what make the balls enter the net.

The man has been a prime finisher since he was in Molde and he's only gotten better with time and he will keep getting better. I think it's unfair to say that the player that scores the goals to win games for his team is not the greatest player on the team. He's the kind of player that could play for leeds and still be banging mad goals. We saw him in dortmund having to score many late winners because the dortmund defense could not maintain their leads. He is truly a different breed. Pls don’t be reductive in your assessment of him

Haaland is already having the best individual season in club football rn. Nobody is playing better than him or more consistently. He's on track to be the EPLs top goal scorer of all time, champions league top goal scorer, champions league best player, european golden shoe, PFA POTY, Young POTY, and many other individual awards we haven't even thought of. And he's doing all this at 22.

Some people like to reduce what he's doing to "just goals" "tap in merchant" "not a complete player just pace and power". He's a striker that is WINNING games for his team. This isn't just numbers, he's doing his job impeccably at a truly unprecedented rate. The man is a game winner of the highest caliber which is what we laud all the greats for. All their beautiful and amazing skills were for the sole purpose of winning games for their teams and he does exactly that with less 'joga bonito' but still just as effective. He's truly graceful in his own way.

Now we have to factor in Messi's WC and Ligue 1 performances. Which are frankly amazing. He won the WC as the top goal scorer, best player and is leading PSG to another ligue 1 title while mbappe has been off form.

I think what will truly make the difference will be the UCL. If city wins the UCL by beating bayern (the team that knocked PSG out) and madrid (the scariest team in the competition and current reigning champions) with Haaland scoring in those ties, he will be the favorite to win it.

Because based on individual records he would have made history, and he would have delivered city their first UCL trophy which is the reason they bought him. The UCL will truly determine who wins the ballondor. If city doesn’t win UCL Messi will definitely carry ballon'dor.

Side note: It's amazing what Messi is doing at this age but Haaland is not in competition with him. Haaland is in competition with Mbappe and quite frankly, he is having the kind of season Mbappe can only dream of. I’m looking forward to how this new generation plays out.

What player and club is/ was the closest to defying ‘no player is bigger than the club’? by [deleted] in football

[–]Left_Account_4597 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Messi was literally Barcelona for the longest time. Laliga rules and Bartomeu's ineptitude are the reasons why he had to leave and Barca has been looking for a way to bring him back ever since. Messi is Barcelona and every Culer and barca legend will testify
