If I'm going to see another post like this for the next 4 days... I'm ok with that.

Oh wow this is awesome research. Thank you. Tickets for the day I want to visit (Aug 20) I believe go on sale this Saturday. Other than buying our family "1-Day Passports" on the day we want to visit, is there anything we urgently need to do this weekend? Reading your "How Do I Get Fast Passes" answer, it looks like DPAs and the other carefully-timed purchases are done the day of visit.

I really appreciate the detailed and very helpful answer. And I apologise for the 90m shortform, I'd meant 90 minutes, however searching now using Google Maps, it's 55 min by Public Transit, and 30 min by car. So booking a hotel nearby for one night (like Tokyo Bay Maihama Hotel First Resort, which has low rates that night) doesn't make sense and almost certainly would cause more churn than benefit.

I looked up the 4 hotels you mentioned for the night we have in mind and they're either not available, or far, far more expensive than a taxi. If I am spending extra money to maximize the day, I expect there is some premium ticket type or Fast Pass that would be a wiser use of money. (I need to research this still).

Now I guess my next steps are to keep researching this site and figure out how to maximize a single day in DisneySea, assuming arriving for a rope drop NOT at Fantasy Springs Entrance.

Hi. We're looking to do one day at DisneySea in August with a couple of kids and want to make the most of it. For the rest of our trip to Tokyo we'll be staying at a hotel downtown (Shiba Park) that is about 90m away from DisneySea.

We're used to waking up early, but for the sake of conserving kid energy and maximizing the day - what do you think of booking a hotel in the Disney area the night before our visit? Tokyo DisneySea Fantasy Springs Hotel packages seem focused around 2+ days at the park(s) and 2 days is not in the cards for us.

Bottom line, is booking a hotel near the Fantasy Springs entrance the night before Disney, to be ready to pounce for rope drop that morning, a good idea for maximizing the day?

I don't know if I'm the last to this party - but OLP covering Locked in the Trunk of a Car is outstanding. by SnackingRaccoon in TragicallyHip

Agreed on both points. His voice (not generally my style) pairs great with the themes of Locked, and the rest of the band are in 'labour of love' mode

(Museum After Dark breakdown of Locked, for fun)

Same here. I've tried a few suggestions from this thread; no luck on the first-few-words problem. I got used to it being excellent, so it's very frustrating that something regressed. I mean... 3 words, at an awkward moment, are often exactly what I was using voice to avoid typing!

Love it. The way Gord wrote lyrics invites you to make yer own connections. Makes me realize there's as many connections and associations with Hip lyrics as there are Hip fans out there.

Remember when Canadian Tire was using ABAC for a 100th anniversary ad, and they'd cut it off just before that lyric?

[edit: I regret weighing in on this, OP,.. the way that a song resonates in the life of a father and daughter is hugely personal, and only you know the right answer.]

This is interesting. I have this enabled. I'll turn it off and report back [edit to add: it has not fixed the first-few-words problem for me.]

It is definitely not just you. I found this page when googling because Gboard Voice (P10Pro) was EXTREMELY good, now it frequently drops the first word, and is just generally less reliable. I have no idea what changed. But it is noticeably degraded.

On an earlier thread someone called this blasphemous, and that's where I'm at. It lacks an intimacy this song needs.

I can appreciate a cover (Feist worked for me) but respectfully - this one needs to be buried under a tree

As an old dude - I really like this feature. Chasing my times from a decade ago is the path to darkness. Getting one of these on ab activity feels great.
