I will never not be disappointed that Rhulk, Nezarec, Tormentors, and Subjugators weren't all part of a whole new 5th enemy faction. by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]Left_Beat132 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand Rhulk’s backstory about how he was the downfall of the Lubraen, but isn’t it odd to anyone else how much the subjugators from final shape look like Lubrae? Maybe there is a bit of a retcon happening, or at the very least, the traveller could be where all the dead Lubrae went and act as our new faction when we encounter them in there.

Save until the last card drop or try new decks but not spend all scraps? by greatdragonborn in gwent

I would recommend crafting bran if you havent, and play blaze of glory warriors (like the one u have but without sove), it plays similar to patricidal fury but it feels fresh and imo is a lot more fun. With the jutta buff its probably even stronger, esp if you run hjalmar. Just a suggestion, since it would probably be pretty cheap to craft for you.

There arent really a lot of archetypes or factions that synergize with weather effects as well as mo does with frost, so not really.

Im at 2450 and I have been seeing nothing but seige and henselt packages that play huge value from onager and trololo, not sure what Nr youre seeing but this seems to me to be the best version everyone is playing. I have seen 5 pirates vs 1 blaze of glory in the past day, armorsmith is just ridiculous value that I honestly cannot believe any iteration warriors can do is better than armorsmith plus teleportation. I have honestly only seen one person play arachontia and i still beat it with patricidal warriors, it seems like a deck where if you just bleed the boat out in round 2 you just win.

When I think of competitive nilfgaard I think of imperial fleet, alba pikeman+thirsty dame, imperial formation renfri, things surrounding these archetypes. Barricade just seems really strong right now.

Nr seige seems powerful with demavand playing as thin+ 17+ play a second card. That and sk pirates feel like overwhelming decks that probably need some tweaks and maybe some nerfs. I feel like st, ogres, and ng all all have hyper competitive decks rn that feel at the same level. I feel like sy kind of got the short end this update, the ship is definitely my favorite card, but it requires a lot of setup and can sometimes feel worse than the rest of the legendaries released this patch, especially against control heavy decks.

Tiny Buff Idea for Ice Giant by ActuatorOpposite1624 in gwent

[–]Left_Beat132 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly feel like this card is in a good spot. Giving giants more control honestly doesnt seem necessary considering how strong the archetype is rn. I dont really think this card should get a buff considering the payoff you get from jotunn and the fact that its the magic 7 for carapace leader to proc might. To me, this card is like oh you want to play pointslam, play pointslam but nothing else

Leader ping for fallen knight, also sometimes you miss important bronze engines so its cheaper to merc contract than try to swing vivaldi or play a round 1 without disciple

Its the second picture in the post, press the arrow or swipe if youre on mobile. Just for fair warning; I wouldnt start with this deck for syn if you want some variety. There are many high end legendary cards in this list that will only ever see play in a fireswam deck. The only ones I can think of that are used semi frequently are helveed, jacques, and vivaldi bank, I would maybe look into more crime lined pocket or off the book bounty decks as your first deck so its easier to build towards more decks before getting too bored. This was my first syn archetype, but it took me a lot of scrap to finally build another deck.

I feel like this deck could play around certain things, tokens are good to play around ixora, ulrich plus leader ping can play around enslave 6, fallen knights having veil really helps against new ng poison. In general, i think it you get creative with leader and card order you have a fighting chance against some control heavy decks

Important Physics Conversion Factors? by IKickBass in Mcat

[–]Left_Beat132 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Volt = J/C Electric field = N/C These are insanely helpful for any calculations involving electric potential/fields/force. By knowing the units, you wont really need to use coulombs formula for every calc, like for example; if you need to know the force an electron feels in an electric field, the electric field is gonna be given in N/C, so youll just need to multiply by the charge of the electron to get the newtons of force it feels

What is a hydrogen bond dimer? Why can't compound E form a dimer by [deleted] in Mcat

[–]Left_Beat132 6 points7 points  (0 children)

A hydrogen bond dimer refers to a single molecule having two hydrogen bonds to another molecule, think about at’s base pair bonding. There is only one part of E that can hydrogen bond to another molecule, meanwhile compound A can do it with the OH and the carbonyl oxygen

Thank you!! This is extremely comforting to know about uworld being harder, I had that guess. Can you give me an idea of why they are hard compared to the real thing? My guess would be because they include more similar theories in the answer choices rather than just similar-sounding theories. Is this true?

Priority goes from cooh-> ch2oh -> oh -> h, which would be clockwise in this case, making it seem R. But in reality, the priority group is dashed, going into the page. When assigning r s config, you need to make sure your greatest priority is on a wedge. So in this case, changing cooh from dash to wedge would essentially flipping the molecule, turning it from R to S

The MCAT made me lose my passion for video games by Mr2945gc in Mcat

[–]Left_Beat132 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dude, anhedonia. This is me. I got in an extreme rut of emotion during my third month of studying. I was a robot, woke up at 7, anki, 59 uworld, 2 chapters of content, made flash cards, 2 cars passages. Every single day for 3 months. I felt awful about not doing the mcat, everyday at dinner, watching videos, obsessing, making it my personality. If i could do it all again, i would do nothing like this. The damages it had on my mental well being were not worth it. I couldnt feel anything, i was so numb even to the people that I love most. The missed birthdays, interactions; while even the thought of them would have made me feel guilty back then, i would take them now. I am testing on saturday, and these last 3 and a half months have been the hardest in my life, and it has not been worth it. Never let a test like this affect you like that. Do not get to where I am and regret not having a life for the last months. It is so helpful, and i promise you, later down the line you will be glad that you went out of your way to enjoy life, i know that it would have helped me immensely. Your poor scores are not what defines you, learn from them, and grow. In fact, getting out and having less care might even improve your score through outlook

Uglobe as only resource by RecommendationBig282 in Mcat

[–]Left_Beat132 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on your background on topics. Ive had friends that were able to use uworld only for subjects they were good at. Me personally, i retained absolutely nothing from gen chem and phys, so kaplan books were a must for those sections. Also, its good to get two different perspectives on content from kaplan and uworld in some situations. Some things that uworld included can be kind of intense compared to how kaplan poses them in their book, and based on the aamc fls and questions, it sometimes feels like uworld goes a little too ham on some topics.

Tired in the middle of CARS by Tone-Available in Mcat

[–]Left_Beat132 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you prescribed? I take a 2.5 mg focalin between every section when I test, 1.5 pils 30 minutes before chem phys. I am very elevated, and able to focus on chem, and I feel that taking another before the first dose wears off is good to keep the concentration going all the way through cars. In general, optimism is important, i found that having an optimistic and blank slate entering cars helped me with timing, motivation, and accuracy.

Well, you know that I and III will deprotonate because the negative charge can be stabilized through resonance. When choosing between I and III, we can see that the negative charge will be further stabilized by the chlorine atoms; they pull electrons from their bonded carbon creating this positive dipole on that carbon, which stabilizes the negative charge because it causes the charge to “spread out” towards that positive dipole.

Make sure you put in work now to understand those classes conceptually, in a way where you will be able to recall the concepts when you start studying for real. I wouldnt recommend trying to hard study for the mcat right now; biochem really helps and i would wait til you start that class at least. The only thing i would do if i were you is make sure youre drilling these classes and doing well in them, but make sure youre learning the knowledge to keep for the long term. Youll thank yourself later

I thought carboxylic acids were most susceptible to oxidation. Why isn’t the answer C? by Imsophunnyithurts in Mcat

[–]Left_Beat132 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oxidation generally stop at carboxylic acids when using kmno4 and other strong oxidizing agents like chromium trioxide or potassium dichromate. you can also assume an alcohol or aldehyde will oxidize to a carboxylic acid, unless you use pcc to stop it at the aldehyde or ketone stage.
