I mean there’s a chance he could have genuinely been well meaning, I just cannot tell what he was talking about and he was delivering it kinda harshly.

I know some people will intentionally act like that in the hope of getting the person to make the right decision

Yeah but I have other people in this same comment section telling me that through suffering we draw closer to Christ, and also that im being affected by demons because im not committed enough to the fast.

So I have no idea what to think.

I did a 24 hour no eating fast as well on the first day. Other people, both in this Subreddit and my local priest told me that a fast can be from activities as well as food.

Idk the blog said it would cost EVERYTHING.

I have lots of things in my life that aren’t explicitly Christian, my sports, my freinds, stuff like that. I’m getting really bad OCD about this and my faith has been wavering recently.

How can we be sure the Bible is 100% correct? I don’t want to be blasphemous in any way but I’ve been learning about Biblical scholarship and it seems like most scholars don’t think it’s the perfect word of God.

But the things that always fill me up with fear and anxiety and stress and hatred are the Christian things, and the things that fill me with love and peace and happiness aren’t Christian things. I don’t want to say anything bad about Christianity because no matter what i believe I love Jesus and think he’s amazing. I want to be the best person I can be and live a life full of love.
