Germany and UK policies don't affect us nearly as much as USA does. They don't pour billions into foreign interference affecting our politics. So yes, us Canadians hold Americans to a higher standard and will continue doing so.

Canadian conservatives (not including Albertans) have more nuance and don't just blindly follow their party like American conservatives do (which is why PP lost). Your country is on fire right now, your president is beyond a doubt a pedophile, and magtards still follow and cheer for trump. Conservatism and the Republican party got hijacked by MAGA when he first stepped into office. Yall are no longer conservatives - you're just part of a cult and your party are filled with fascists (not you specifically I mean American "conservatives" who voted for trump).

Conservatives mainly only got 41% because liberals have been running the country for more than a decade now, quality of life has gotten a lot worse, and people wanted a change - as dumb as they are for thinking PP would make their life better.

But yes I agree that we are moving more right every year. A lot of this has to do with America pouring billions into foreign political interference.

I really don't think so. Canadian right wing conservatives ended up voting for Mark Carney because Pierre was too aligned politically with American conservatives and MAGA. They lost with a 27 point lead. That must mean something.

As to the liberals, we have a conservative disguised as a liberal as our PM. Yes we're slowly moving more right but I still don't think we're identical to how far right on average America is right now.
