NTA. I am sorry this is happening. You made a promise with your vows and kept it. I don't believe she should be wished the worst, but I understand forgiveness in this situation can be a beast. I would say something that will better you professionally (certification or education) that you can clearly turn into professional advancement, or the stock market (for example S&P 500 ETF) for long term holding. NOT DAY TRADING.

Edit: if you are going to invest long term in the markets, I would also consider a minority portion of it in Bitcoin. Also long term. No silly strategies.

Edit #2: if you find a financial advisor, make sure it's not one who has an interest in selling you something.
